IMO, believe there is something else going on. Had my car since Feb 25 as new. Garaged until April 1, no issues just started 1x weekly with a few laps in the neighborhood. Never had any warning messages. Last week, took on 200+ mile road trip and it was fine. That night received battery low voltage warning. Took it to Ford for the recall work on BCM and they looked at the Battery and said low voltage---tested to spec's and recharged. Well, it's still giving me battery warning message and will not complete any OTA Updates.

That shouldn't happen after a 200 mile drive. I agree, it seems like something else is going on.

It's the battery monitor and the piece of crap battery Ford is using.

Yes and my dealer says they are a problem.
I realize the Rap is a different animal with a big @ss battery but I just replaced the battery in my '17 after almost 9 years in service. Only my '01 Lightning has come close with 8 years in service.

I had never had a slow crank or other indication when the Raptor went into deep sleep mode a few weeks ago. I was under the weather so I wasn't driving and when I did get around to hitting up the truck, I got nothing but clicks when I tried to start. Unfortunately, it was too far gone for a jump start.

As mentioned, the Rap will also send the chimes to the center speaker like the Mustang does, and then the intelligent entry gets disabled - passenger side first. I checked this and the passenger side intelligent entry WORKED even though my battery had barely enough juice for all the lights, gauges, etc.

So, my takeaway from this was if you get the deep sleep notification, act on it. because the BMS is not reliable enough to account for a lot of situations.

No battery issues here yet. I did get the Big-3 done with 0-Gauge wiring though. Using the factory battery.
Also, the Sundown Audio bass knob has a digital read out on it that I keep on Volts.
When I start up the car it always ramps up to 15.2-15.5 Volts. It can range, randomly from 12.5-14.8 Volts and does so w/o anything turning on or off, and without adjusting the volume.
Usually though it sits at 14.8 or 13.2 or 12.8.

Edit: It's 14.8 NOT 4.8...phone cam wouldn't pick up the 1 well.😂

Maybe not related, but when my auto-start stop stopped working for a few months, my center screen told me it was deactivated due to low battery. I've never had any notifications or other battery relayed issues. This was right after an oil change, and the battery was tested apparently.

Eventually ASS started working again - which was a surprise as I had gotten out of the habit of turning it off at start-up. Now, I've trained my son to do it in case I forget. :)

Must be some weird shit with the battery monitor or crappy batteries, as mentioned above.

I haven’t had any issues with the battery system in mine yet (I think), although I can’t say the same for the other parts of the car…

I have a very short commute to work (less than 1mi), but I do take it out on longer drives at least once a week.

I do have a dash cam that is plugged into the 12V cigarette port, and it does stay on until the car decides it’s time to put it to sleep, but I haven’t had any low battery issues or notifications besides the occasional MyColor reset.

Man... Sorry to hear your ÁSS wasn't working, that must have been a bit disconcerting.

I was able to elicit a similar response. Back before I added an amped sub, I washed and waxed my Rap to the tune of about ... 3, maybe 3.5 hours. I had the radio on the whole time and had to cycle the ignition 2x due to the 60 minute shut off. Next day I got in the truck and the auto stop start was not functioning for 'battery charge'. It stayed like this for 2 more drives, totaling about 4-5 hours before it began working again.

I ended up turning off the bug feature after the amped sub. When the truck restarted, it would scram the amps.

I had to replace my original battery at 5 years. I bought a replacement Motorcraft battery, non agm, and I'm 5 years in again. I do keep everything I have on a battery tender at least once every 2 weeks. Lawn mower, moped, etc.

My routine is to unplug the tender when I drive it and then plug it back in after sitting for about two days after the drive. Haven't had any obvious issues yet. Agree the combination of car loads with AGM type batteries discharges much faster. Had the same problem with Optima battery in my truck. Self discharge was bad. Switched back to regular thick plate pb-acid battery problem went away. Wonder if I can replace the AGM with a similar one.

Just an update.

I had the battery replaced under warranty at the end of November after getting another battery warning. Since then I have had zero issues. The chime has never returned, and I haven't had any low battery warnings or messages in the Ford App. During this time the car has sat on two occasions without operation for 4 or more days. I have not had it on a battery tender once.

Its obvious in hindsight, that the battery was going out. The periodic change from Heartbeat to chime is clearly a low battery thing.
