Optioned my way; a '26 came to $19 K more than my '24 (bought off the lot; missing 4 options I would have ordered). Not really apples to apples, but still a big price hike.

No extra charge for recalls and sales stops though! 😉 And no front inner fender liner holes!

My 2024 as a 2026 is $65,490.

MSRP in 2024 was $58,515

$6,975 difference and that does not include the things Ford took out

GT Ragtop, 401A, anti theft, spare tire, red paint, B&O, no active exhaust, no PP, stock wheels and tires, nothing exotic

If Ford thinks the year to year sales numbers suck now, wait til the final figures for 2026 are released in 2027

That is a 12% increase. About half is simple inflation over the 2 years. Tariffs are the rest I suspect.

Of course manufacturing inflation is not the same as CPI - salaries have increased significantly in those 2 years at Ford.

Same here...a 2026 is over $5K more than my 2024.
I went to a lot of cruises in the Pittsburgh area this summer. Other than my 2024 I saw two other S650's. I guess I have a unique car.
2023 and older cars were everywhere to include the last version of the GT500.
Maybe sports cars for the average guy will not exist in the near future or will be available to those with deep pockets.

@Fender5803 ..... I believe Ford switched that up. The auto tranny is now a NC item but you will pay almost the same amount if you up-grade the stereo. Smart move by Ford as more probably want the auto than the Bose up-grade as many who really value a sound system will up-grade from the Bose system. anyway.

My 24 GT/CS convertible 401a with B&O, Active Valve, spare tire, and rubber and carpet floor mats was $53k. To buy as close to that as possible today is $67,480. That’s a solid $14.5k more than I paid. Sales are going to suck so bad next year if they can’t right size these prices.

Not really, my 24 is a unicorn... can't even option one anywhere close to what I have in the new model years!

an equivalent optioned 2026 is about $8000 than my 2024. these price increases are crazy. also, was the intelligent speed limiter deleted? the build and price shows that button blank on every configuration

Build a car similar than my 24' Euro Mustang is more or less the same price than 26' USA (with 30% taxes which we pay here).

Well, I think dealers will discount from MSRP...
