Me neither, what's the big deal?

There was a lot of hate from S550 guys intially over the dash and styling (both of which are subjective, obviously), as well as the inability to tune and the price increase(s). While tuning is no longer an issue, the price still is for a lot of people, along with the de-contenting of the car that comes with price increases. Floor mats being optional for 2026 is laughable, IMO.

Yes, stop sale and price increases have hurt the 650 Mustang. However, many people still can't warm up to the over kill on electronics.
Mach 1's are still selling at almost sticker for a low mile car.
The new Mustang was built for those who like screens but have no money in their pockets. Those 20-30 year olds that do have money buy foreign. It is what it is...

We're spending more for the GT convertible than we would've for the Cadillac Optiq that my wife wanted until I rented a convertible on vacation. She started a new job in August after being off work for over a year due to a shoulder injury, so she's getting what she wants.

New cars are expensive, but I’m not sure it’s entitlement to take issue with the price of the car. Real world builds have gone up dramatically in the past few years, all while sales have gone down and content has been removed from the car. The other issue with price is that a used S550 is nearly the same car from a functional perspective, and they can be had for considerably less than a new S650. Yes, we’re comparing new to used, but because the S650 is so similar, there’s not much incentive to pay more for many people. If I still had my S550, I wouldn’t see any reason to upgrade.

The s650 is an improvement over the last gen car. I got a premium s650 with mt, pp and recaros. Smile every time I drive. At no time do I tell myself I wish I would have gotten a used s550.

Here in Australia, 117 sales in September, down from 283 in August, 429 in July.

Sales can be subject to the timing of ships arriving during a given month, so it might not be indicative of the true demand.

Mustang would still be Australia's top-selling sports car, year to date date :-)

I still say the best way to deal with it is to position one’s self so they can buy whatever they want. THAT is what people have control over. Complaining solves no problems.

Be dumbfounded, that's O.K. Again, I see more young people, potential Mustang buyers driving pickups and rice burners.
I agree that the S650 isn't a big improvement over the S550. My 2020 BULLITT was just right.

So, is the stop sale lifted now? All the dealers around ATL have Mustangs listed and with big discounts. The big discounts indicate at least, lack of demand or overproduction. There are some good deals out there now...

What I see young people driving is used up junk. They don't hold down decent jobs so they don't drive decent cars or they drive Mommie's car. They aren't circulating any money because they're still living at home.

Awful hard on young kids here...The economy is not good, everything is expensive as hell, and the Mustang is a $50K+ car. When I was in college I was broke as hell all the time, and drove shitboxes that fell apart as I drove......and yes, I worked after school but all that did was buy supplies and gas to get to school. Even out of college it took years of freelancing and interviews in my career path to finally make some money. I worked my ass off to get there.

Young people today are just trying to make due with what they have.

What's a decent job that's available for a 19 year old kid...doctor? Investment broker? C'mon....

That kid working the drive-thru at Wendy's today is making more an hour than I did back in the 80's at a professional level as a gov. contractor. And they are still broke.
