There is a minor amount of interest globally. A couple of Japanese fans flew to Sydney for the debut of the new Toyota Supra Supercar. F1 driver Alex Albon is a bit of a fan.
Anyway, it looks like Ford is in for a great year in this year's Supercar championship.
Here in Australia, 117 sales in September, down from 283 in August, 429 in July.
Sales can be subject to the timing of ships arriving during a given month, so it might not be indicative of the true demand.
Mustang would still be Australia's top-selling sports car, year to date date :-)
The wheels are made by Carbon Revolution based here near Melbourne, Australia. They were the first (and still the only?) company to perfect the production of carbon fibre wheels for road use.

The Australian Supercar taillights have been referred to in this thread. They were said to be bespoke in a video I watched a while back. I presume they meant both the housing and the lens.
The cars acquire pretty severe damage during the racing, but sometimes continue racing on, so the extra bonnet pins are just a safety precaution. The James Courtney Tickford Mustang damage is an example here:
It is still early days, so there is not much other than these videos that cover the parity procedures with some dyno footage, so turn up the volume!
@SINBUSTER007 there is a fresh rumour that Supercars may be on the support card for a US Formula 1 race meeting, post-2023. Supercars did...
Here is the first real, racing S650 Mustang race car in the world, I think I can safely say. Just now revealed at the Bathurst 1000 race week.
It will do a handful of demonstration laps of the Mount Panorama circuit before going through a parity testing process to be equalised with the Camaro...
Here is the Australian Supercar S550 based Mustang prototype, Aluminator based, stroked to 5.4, sequential transaxle gearbox with straight cut dog gears, could be the sound clip Twin Turbo posted.
Most likely the to be the first 7th Gen race Mustang to surface as they need to do aero parity...
I hope these havenât appeared here already, just posted on this Australian website: https://www.drive.com.au/news/2024-ford-mustang-rendered/
I quite like it, particularly the rear end:
Yes, but they still largely portray the overall style of the front and rear end of the production Mustang at least. The bits in between perhaps not so much.
Curiously, I canât find any hint of NASCAR updating to S650 in 2023.
The Australian Supercar Mustangs will be much more life like, if...
This local Australian article has just reminded me that I will have to stay awake until the early hours of the 15th to see the debut live; I am hoping it will be worth it:

Renders of the S650 in 2023 Supercar race form should follow...
Would Ford really do a short model run at great expense in the middle of the Northern Hemisphere winter? How many people would buy a car in cold months, especially when an all new model is imminent?
Here in Australia the new 2023 Mustang Supercar race car is still being touted as being the S650...
Unlike the current Supercar Mustang and the NASCAR Mustang, the new generation bodywork of Supercars have to be virtually identical to the road going car, except below the the bumper bar (mid point). The bodywork below there needs to be bespoke for racing purposes, so is unlikely to closely...
Unofficial Australian Supercar Mustang rendering; probably not based on any inside information, but who knows.
I wouldnât be unhappy if it looked like this though, better looking than most renderings I have seen so far, although I prefer the mean look of the recessed headlights of the S550...
Australia's peak motor racing website has gone with this and given the forum some publicity at least:
https://www.speedcafe.com/torquecafe/is-this-the-2023-ford-mustang/
Definitely agree with Paulâs comment re âtwin browâ, thatâs non-negotiable! And I hope for minimal touch controls; too hard to use when bouncing along bumpy roads.
Less cheap looking/feeling materials would be nice, and certainly less squeaks and rattles. Both my FM and FN models have been bad...
There was more future Ford news released in Australia during a media preview, so maybe the Mustang news came out then. Here it is, (more good news for Ranger and Ford Australiaâs engineering operation, the leader of the Ranger program)...
