I lived in WPB for 15 yrs so I know what you are going through with an older car. The sun and corrosion from living near the ocean is hard on everything. One thing that really works better than any other type penetrating oil is Aero Kroil. We use it in the aviation industry and it is amazing...
On my F150, the mileage computed by the dash is nowhere near correct. If I calculate by hand over several tanks, it's off by at least 2mpg. Add to that the speedo on virtually all cars is conservative by at least 1mph.

I happen to like yellow but I realize it is a polarizing color... Still, 14k off sticker!
Around Atlanta, GT's are all discounted at least 10k and even EB are like 8k off (making them awesome commuter cars). Dealer I talked to said incentives will likely be better after the first of the year on the leftover cars- but that is a roll of the dice.
The only reason I would even get a Mustang is for the V8 and manual. Other than that, I'd find a low mile Mercedes SL- which is just an absolutely incredible car and are fantastic deals. If you're retired (like me), and you have another vehicle to drive when you need something bigger or more...
Here in the ATL area, most dealers are discounting their 25 GT's about 10k. That drags down the resale of used cars since you can usually buy a new car for the same price as a 1 yr old used one and get better financing rates- although Ford's Mustang rates are not very good. Once the 25's are...
You can get 10k off sticker on a new GT- at least in my area. So that has a big impact on used car values. If Ford takes all the incentives off when the 26's come out that will help but dealers seem desperate to get rid of the 25's right now.
I'm a painter and I'd recommend against painting the stripes. Find a good vinyl wrap shop and have them do what you want. They all have software that can show you what it will look like when done.
I'd also mention that the S650 looks best in darker colors due to the big black lip at the bottom...
I got a cash offer in the mail today. 2000 on a F150 but only 750 on a Mustang. If it was 2000 on the Mustang, I'd be at the dealer tomorrow because they are already discounting them 8k (GT's). Some good deals out there right now and maybe better after the first of the year.
So, is the stop sale lifted now? All the dealers around ATL have Mustangs listed and with big discounts. The big discounts indicate at least, lack of demand or overproduction. There are some good deals out there now...
The base price of a Corvette is more than double the base price of a Mustang... and really, comparing a Corvette to a Mustang is absurd. There is no $30k 4 cyl Corvette and that is a large percentage of Mustang sales. The reality is that most Mustang owners (not all) cannot afford a Corvette. If...
You would think that with the Challenger and Camaro gone that Mustang sales would be up. I think it shows a couple things- 1) Mustang, Camaro and Challenger buyers are probably not the same and didn't really cross shop much. 2) The market for sport/pony cars is niche in today's world and...
I've been painting bikes non-stop recently in Porsche frozen blue which is a pearl that changes color dramatically with lighting and angle. Originally I did a bike for Triumph for the distinguished gentleman's ride and once the pictures got on the forums, everyone seems to want this color. I'm a...
If you compare where EV's were 10 yrs ago to today, you can see that what will be available in just another 5 yrs will be an exponential leap. Economy of scale is the big factor. When VW, Toyota and GM get cranked up, EV's will be way cheaper than ICE due to far less complexity and cheaper...
If Ford is taking notes, I'd love for the next gen to have a hatch like the Jag XK, Aston, old Fox body, etc. It really makes the car so much more flexible and useful as DD.
