Some good news from Europe (Czech Republic).

Today, service instructions for vehicle hold on Mustangs were issued in the PTS system, so the cars can be repaired and released to customers.

I'd be much more comfortable if they didn't have to pry up the windshield.

Also, what if they do the procedure and discover the BCM has corrosion at the end? They probably can't give the car back to you. I would absolutely lose my shit if they pulled that.

Why not check the BCM first???

I suspect because water damage is cumulative. It may take time for it to ever get to the BCM.

I agree why not check for water and if none then great. If water on the bcm then seal ect...I think to date there are only like 69 warranty claims and 17 field reports for mustangs that have had water intruding in the car. Thats out of like over 100 thousand i think. So low percentage of .63%. Guess the odds are good, but i will still have it checked and sealed if needed.

I bought my 24 GT/premium as a Ford Buyback "lemon". The original owner was having issues w/water leaking and getting inside (windshield area). Original owner was able to return it to Ford under the CA lemon law; Ford took the car back, resealed the windshield and resold it via auction and I ended up with it. I have had zero leak issues from my 1.5 years of ownership and got a $13K discount on a basically new car w/barely any miles on it because it was deemed a lemon for the water leak. I don't think I'll take mine in for this recall.

I pulled the wiper cowl and inspected all the seams which looked OK. I then pulled the right kick panel and found zero evidence of water intrusion. Lifted the carrpet also. I don't drive in rain but have done hand washes with plenty of water doing flow rinses.

Next I performed the flow test as per the procedure. Rechecked for any water intrusion. Zero present. Reinstalled the cowl.

With the chances of getting the recall done and something getting screwed up I am skipping it for now. I might reconsider at a later time once the technicians get more experience.
