Recall on Water Leak

My local Ford dealership in Boston called me to cancel the Recall on the BCM check/replacement because they don't have a Body Shop. Now I have to call around to find a dealer with a body shop then re-schedule the recall service.

My dealer does not have a body shop and they made the repair by re-sealing. Had it not worked, they would hired an auto glass company to change the windshield. No bodyshop required.

They don't know if it worked yet. All this is a wish and a hope. A bunch of monkeys could have done the "repairs".

Unfortunately my Ford dealership right down the road, which has a service center, said that Ford told them that they technically cannot do this work at their site. The advisor's job this week was calling EVERYONE who set up appointments to have recall 25C43 completed to be cancelled.

They didn't say other than they cannot complete the Ford recall as written and that a dealer with a body shop is required.

I was told the same thing. People on a Facebook group said was nuts when the dealership told that.
