My dealer does not have a body shop and they made the repair by re-sealing. Had it not worked, they would hired an auto glass company to change the windshield. No bodyshop required.
I'm 62 and got my first ever convertible in June - welcome to the club. Race red with the black interior (bough off the lot). We had a hot, sunny summer. Couldn't have asked for better weather. I was amazed on how the black seats didn't get nearly as hot as I thought they would in the sun...
Mine was in the shop this week for an oil change and they dealt with the recall. It was in overnight.
The work order says, "Apply sealant to the vehicle (includes time to scuff and clean), perform water test, and inspect the BCM and connectors."
RE SEAL LOWER WINDSHIELD AND MOUNTS.
Passes...
NO. I looked it up the other day. I find it annoying. I hit the handle lock button twice and still hit the FOB button just to confirm it's locked :( And why do the Aussies get power folding mirrors and we don't in North America?
Looks great fellow Ontarian Mustang Owner! Love those red Brembos. It was not optioned on mine (bought mine new off the lot) and the dealer told me I could have them installed for CDN$4000!!! WTF? But I could get CDN$1000 for my used ones.
I'm trying as hard as I can to have fun, make noise, and not worry about fuel economy. If I was worried about the fuel economy, I would have bought an Ecoboost.
Interesting MPG figures. I'm at 3952 miles (never reset) on Trip 2 with 14.1 MPG. Mine sees far more stop and go traffic than highway and I always disable Start/Stop as it's programmed on my Custom mode to shut that useless and annoying feature off.
