No. Small volume makers contribute virtually nothing to environmental pollution. Some of those low volume car makers are NOT expensive cars. Cars like Caterham and Ariel simply don't have the resources to do EV's and sell a few hundred cars a year.

No scam just realism.
But why is the manufacturer that can punished?

Edit: as in: low volume sales (hint hint they keep saying mustang sales are falling and are a niche enthusiast market)

Global car makers - US policy is only one part of it for them.

Ford make EV's or they will die. They sell as many cars outside the US as they do inside the US.
Are global standards government enforced or consumer driven?

Looks like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Yes it is. Not powered by steam or was it, but illustrates the variety that once was. Steam, electric, and gas all been done prior. Advancements in electric vehicles is a reimagining of prior efforts with a twist of global hysteria.

All correct up until the last two words.

If it wasn’t for climate change would anyone be clamoring for the extension cord?

Huge misconception…. The government isn’t enforcing the company’s….

The big 3 are forcing the government to push what they want…. T$ pushed back. So they will play pretend a few more years.
The government doesn’t run the USA… the S&P 500 does.

So you’re saying the losses are planned ?

Err no - completely correct. Your use of the word hysteria however is incorrect.
Hysteria perception dictates interpretation

I do not know how old you are but your ignorance is showing. The move to alternative fuels started long, long before climate change became a thing. It started after the second gas shortage in the eighties. There was a fear that if the Middle East turned of the flow of oil a third time our economy could collapse. There were all sorts of alternatives back then, but electric became the front runner. It still is 40+ years later.

Ford's main business and what they care about most is the F Series trucks.

The rest of the world does not equal the U.S. when it comes to Ford.

80% of F150 sales are in the U.S.

Wow now you’re showing your ignorance in business and manufacturing. Loses are expected and planned for in any new business model. So long as overall profit numbers are made the losses are just swallowed up.
