Interesting. So do you know what really all the options are? I know like number 2 is dark horse lighting, another number is premium. What are the other like 7?
2 is for the Dark Horse, 3 is for the GT and EcoBoost, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and A are unused and result in the DRLs being on for an unknown amount of time, and 9 turns the lights off, which is used in the farewell section

Has anyone found anything for the tail animations? I was poking around for a while and failed hardcore and then life got in the way. Gotta love it haha

You probably can’t change those. There’s nothing to really change to. The dark horse and GT have the same animation.

There's only one set of tail light animations

You seem to know a lot about these mustangs. This is my first time owning one, I had a scat pack for a while before this. Is forscan like “safe” to use? Assuming I back everything up? I’ve never used it and just don’t wanna run into issues with the dealer or anything.

Thanks! I have a base 301a and was trying to figure out how to add the animation because they just flash with no special sequence. Might just be a limitation to the base models

its because Ford didnt design anything with people like us in mind. in their systems, this all makes 100% complete sense. they have a lot of unique or questionable choices, but as a programmer myself, it makes sense because to them it probably makes perfect sense, and thats all that really matters
Will need someone to put up a README with all documentation around FORSCAN

i would honestly recommend only changing things that you know wont cause problems. and if you are unsure, just ask

a user named Livinitup has better documentation on FORScan than anyone else. look up his stuff

look in the BCMB, that is where the ambient lighting and tail light stuff is stored

Hey, I’m curious if you’ve seen it or not but, when I enabled the DH lighting, it works great, but I noticed when I shut the car off and the headlights stay on for a delay or something, they’re no longer white, they’re more so orange tinted, but not full amber. Is that just kinda how the dark horse is, or is that a side effect of the DH lighting?

To all - please note I’ve tried using the IPC easy mode, and noticed stop start is on there. I put it as “disabled” and noticed it removes the function of the stop start button, but it still works, it’s just not illuminated. I assume stop start removal needs to be done through the hexadecimal as built.

Also noticed, for the last one, I believe 6F6-06-06 or something (don’t remember), where you’re supposed to change it to a 9 as the second digit, I only had 3 digits, not 4 like the forum shows. Is that fine?

i've never heard of this? i would try reverting it back to factory settings and trying again, see if it does that again. mine does not do that

properly disabling auto start stop has multiple ways of doing it. i think the two most common are disabling it in the BCM which also disables the battery monitoring system and can cause issues, and something about tricking the vehicle into thinking a steering operation is in progress

on 6F6-05-06, there is only two bytes (4 digits) of data, and the last two are always a checksum. if there is only 3, something is odd about that. try manually adding a fourth digit and re-programming it. FORScan should auto-generate a correct checksum. if the issue persists, i recommend contacting the FORScan team about the issue, because that does not sound quite right
