I wonder how many 2024 owners are doing this. I'm guessing not many. I was aware of the issue before I took delivery, and haven't done anything about it so far.
Just checked, and at 5000 miles, the space behind the holes has no gravel or other debris. Guess it depends on where you drive.

$100 is cheap if you consider the time and materials to design and instal something to cover the holes. I covered mine before these were up for sale. I spent four or five hours using kydex. Smart people will buy these. Many won't and compain when they hear rocks rolling around in their rocker panels.

This is the only $94 (free shipping) repair on the market since production of the 24 started in 2023. It will be interesting to see if this is resolved for the 2025 model year.

I'd bet they are the same as the assembly procedure will not change for MY25

Fxckx Ford should be made to pay. Say in a few years you didn’t fill the holes and rocker panels are all rusted. Will Ford pay to repair or does your warranty cover it?

@OzzieRoss .....I have never been given a rational answer. Hein didn't know nor did Tony Unica. There was speculation the holes were left to install the K frame members but that is wrong. The best guess is that it is just an oversight. What was shown in Tony Unica's video is exactly what happened to me on the long drive back from the dealer. Thankfully there is an easy fix. I wonder if Ford will alter these liners for 2025. I know they read the forums and do react to logical suggestions.

@dollybud ..... more that that brother. The velocity with which some of the stones hit my exposed pinch welds and K frame chipped the paint off exposing metal. IMO.... In southern areas sand would pack there and get wet causing a rust poultice. In northern areas the snow and salt could compromise the frame in say 5 years. Owners MUST IMO cover these holes.

@Stang24 ..... just a second guys. Hein had to approach Ford, get the blueprints, scan them into his equipment, FYI the Ford blueprints had to be re-programmed - significantly - by Hein to fit his CAD software and he had to make multiple runs to get it right. These composite "patches" are not just flat pieces they are very intricate. He then had to come up with a procedure to install them so they would stay on - AND - he included the JB weld and foam supports in the package AND he has to package and stock them, print labels and ship them. My thoughts are, having talked with him, he's a SUPER decent guy who does not need the money - or the agro - and is doing this for purely US not himself. $100.00 for this kit? Geez guys that's cheap. It fits perfectly (how many things do you buy that you can say that about).......wait a minute our Mustangs came with holes in the fender liners..... and you get ALL the parts you need. He could ask twice the price and it would be a bargain. He's one of the good guys out there.

Rocker panels are plastic - not going to rust.

Wonder why @Ford Motor Company is not posting something about it here.
I posted a different problem recently, and someone from Ford responded. She opened a case file and told me I would be contacted by someone at Ford. That was 2-3 months ago and I've heard nothing from them.

@Illini4 ..... you are right the rocker panels are plastic/composite. BUT - have you looked under the big felt-like "belly pan" under the engine and under the "felt-like" side pans. These all cover the main FRAME pinch welds and your entire front end K frame and associated frame components. IMO These holes will allow rocks/gravel to chip the paint and protective coatings off these crucial frame parts, and had started to in my case and THEN for debris such as sand (southern areas) could pack into the openings to retain water which could cause frame damaging corrosion. As for northern vehicles exposed to snow and salt - IMO - highly destructive. THAT is the problem and it's real and its significant. After only 400 miles the stone chips had allowed rust to start on the front of my frame pinch weld like that you can easily see if you look through the holes. I have posted multiple pictures of this on forums, as has Tony Unica and now forum members here.
