Followed the instructional Video to patch up the holes behind the front tires in the fender well on my new 24 GT. I have some black RTV adhesive sealent on order to put a small bead along the peremeter edges of the patch. I took a bunch of photos of dry fitting the patch with the supplied foam blocks. I let the passenger side set up for 1 hour and then did the drivers side. I put some additional temporary support against the patch when I moved the blocks from passenger side to drivers side. Let both set 3 hours and then removed all temp supports. The patches fit very well. Here is the link to the kit which cost 94 bucks and free shipping: https://diyvan.com/products/2024-fo...r-panels-kit?_pos=1&_psq=mustang&_ss=e&_v=1.0

@Grabber1 ..... perfectly done. I did exactly the same thing including a second ring of sealant around the perimeter after the original installation dried for a couple of days. That was in March. Still on so well that you would probably rip the fender liner if you tried to remove the pieces! Best money you will ever spend on your Mustang!

My RTV adhesive sealent should be her in 2 days from Amazon for my peremiter bead for a final secondary seal on the patch. The fabricator did a excellent job manufacturing the patch.

@Grabber1 .....Yes Hein, the owner of DIYvan.com, works with Ford all the time custom fabricating pieces for the work vans etc. Ford sells. When Hein bought a 2024 Mustang GT for himself and saw the holes and Tony Unica's post he got the blueprints from Ford, scanned them into his printer/router and fabricated the pieces. As you and I know and your pictures clearly illustrate the pieces fit perfectly. This is a "must do" for every 2024 Mustang owner no matter where they live as stones/gravel/sand can do almost as much damage as snow/salt.

I wonder how many 2024 owners are doing this. I'm guessing not many. I was aware of the issue before I took delivery, and haven't done anything about it so far.

There has to be an easier way to cover these holes, no?

On the production line the arm things grab them there.
If there's enough vehicles that start rusting down there within the warranty period, that's gunna be real expensive for FOMOCO

Why would these holes be there?
Good question. Possibly during the build process automation had some device holding the car in position on the assembly line. It's a mystery.

I did mine several months ago and instead of using the glue I drilled a hole and used a push pin to secure.

Its probably $10 for the plastic and adhesive, and $90 for being smart enough to think of it :)
Ford's rust warranty covers perforation or actual holes only.
