I don't remember any magazines discussing which is the faster method. I thought I read somewhere that a little bit of delay is built into the no lift shift to protect something in the driveline. The car might accelerate faster just doing it the old fashioned way but I'm not sure.

OK.

But what’s a power pack?
Lol, simply for clarity, and agreed maybe not the best example.

point being: base knowledge of some may be a golden nugget for others.

How to use…
‘…started off as a racing game..
… the 'Turbo' upgrade. However, it might come across as confusing…
… you do not need to 'turn on' turbo in order to use the upgrade…
…This was extremely puzzling for new players as they tried every button.’

I keep reading different things about No Lift Shift. Is this available on the GT or just the dark horse? Can anyone confirm?

Rev matching = lazy butter.

edit: to answer the question. If we are equating no lift shift to rev matching then yes it is available on the gt, well at least ours.

Apologies for the thread resurrection.

No Lift Shift is NOT the same as rev matching. No Lift Shift means exactly that. You press the acceleration pedal down 100% and shift up (i.e. 1->2->3->4->5->6) without letting off of the acceleration pedal. I see it is listed for the Dark Horse and the TREMEC, but I cannot find anything concrete for the GT with the MT-82.

I have seen that page. My only issue with that is the title, "Preliminary Technical Specifications".

I have seen no mention of it the owner's manual (keep in consideration, that this covers the EcoBoost, GT, and DH), not even for the Dark Horse model with the TREMEC.

I'm new to this concept, but is this no lift shift something that needs to be turned on? Of do you simply just shift without lifting off the gas and the car takes car of it?

Does the shift knob have numbers or letters, if it has numbers yes. I’m not sitting in the car at the moment but it’s in settings somewhere (either vehicle or assist - I don’t recall exactly which/where). Enable Rev-match, unless a dh has a secondary setting to enable no-lift that should do it.

The GT and Dark Horse manuals both have no-lift shift. It requires going WOT and clutching close to redline. It doesn't cut ignition unless those requirements are met. Verified on '24 GT as well as my own Dark Horse.

Thank you for the clarification! Did you by any chance catch the number (or maybe even the range)? I know you said close to redline, but that can be considered subjective.

Sorry, I don't know what the range is, nor have I seen actual documentation that covers the procedure, but It definitely works when I shift at WOT between 6700-7000 RPM.

That would make for an interesting situation if you are close-but-not-quite at those requirements and you go to shift and the car doesn't cut the ignition. Yikes.

I'm sure that's why there's protections in place like the 7200 rpm soft limiter. what I meant is that one can't drive around like they're picking up groceries, leaving their foot at a 3rd throttle and expect no lift shifting to work. it's a max performance feature.
