@fablighting @Kaleza @sunnydhama I corrected now the PCM module error as per the update, simply got a free trial and did it, L looks like it behaves like M now ( doesnt downshift imediately when shifting to it) but im unable to use the paddles still, unsure if this is from being Job 1 or incorrect paddle install . Did any of you run into something similar? Or would I need a ford update

just to jump in quickly and i hope u do find a fix, i know of some people that attempted to add paddles and no matter what they did, the car would not recognize them.

There is a wire that isn’t connected under the dash. I connected it after my friends EB wouldn’t recognize paddles

I used the instructions posted by @RimaFlowss in post #65 (and a few others in different threads). I bought a DH steering wheel with paddles from Ford performance - 25% off Black Friday sale, the balance of my Ford pass points - my cost 197.00 bucks. R&R instructions were included with the steering wheel. I made the Forscan changes before installing the wheel. Installation took about 1/2 hour. Paddle shifters work as they should in both "L" and "M" modes. Installed on an Ecoboost premium convertible, heated steering wheel with adaptive cruise. CGD shows up on the tach and on "P R N D M" display in "normal" mode.

correct. there’s a separate sensor and harness that sits at the very front of the car for ACC.

if you don’t want the “dead buttons” since the ACC wont work, u can always swap over ur existing buttons to the new wheel

It is my understanding you have to have the hardware (buttons) that come with either the GT premium or dark horse steering wheel as the wiring will not be on my ecoboost premium for the paddle shifters. True or not? Thanks a bunch.

The steering wheel will come with buttons. If you order the DH steering wheel (part # M-3600-M), it comes with heated steering wheel functionality (has the heating element inside, and the brown connector plug for it). It also comes with the button sets on both the left side and right side of the wheel, and the group on the left side has the adaptive cruise control buttons. If your car does not have the adaptive cruise feature, you will have to remove the left button set from your original wheel and swap it onto the DH wheel. You will need a Torx T10 bit to unscrew the small screws on the back of each wheel to swap button sets.

Thanks for the info. I am in luck because I have adaptive cruise. I looked at the M-3600-M and all the buttons are the same as I have so I should be able to swap them out, a few software changes with FORScan and I’ll have what I want. Thanks again for your help.

Yes it did. No HPP either. I had a 2020 HPP that I almost wish I would have kept. I would have but I had the entire drivers side ripped off. Insurance paid over 20K for the fix. Thanks again for your help.
