the auto start/stop has worked before, I suspect the previous owner neglected the battery and it probably has reduced capacity. maybe resetting the BMS will help, I'll wait until I get the opportunity to go for a long drive and see what happens
So here's the story. My auto start/stop stopped working and I know it's because the battery is considered too low by the BMS, problem is I don't drive my car enough hence the trickle charger.
But said trickle charger, which is the ctek cs free, reads the battery as deep discharged and drains...
is there a way to view the battery status other than its voltage? the ctek cs free drains itself in about 20 minutes even though the mechanic said the battery is healthy
this may sound like a stupid question but I just received my ctek free and I don't want to mess it up. Can the negative be attached to any stud on the strut tower or only the one that goes into the battery?
the item description on cjponyparts says " Steering wheel kit does not include switches, air bag module or hardware. Switches, air bag module and hardware must be transferred from owners original steering wheel. " so I guess that a no brainer
yes that's exactly what's happening, although 2/3 of battery life sounds reasonable to me.
auto start/stop makes quite the difference in fuel consumption for city drive, would be great if ford updated that.
I had the same message on the app. The stop/go has been working on and off and eventually stopped working after I didn't drive for 2 weeks. Having said that, the battery has been neglected by the previous owner and shows 2/3 of its life on the central screen so I should probably get a new one.
Mine has worked after I took her to the dealership, they charged the battery through the night and it was working consistently. Then I didn't drive the car for 2 weeks and it stopped working again.
I don't know if it's a bug or just very poorly designed, maybe the battery threshold is very low.
Yeah I found a mechanic specialised in mustangs but he keeps telling me the steering wheel will be incompatible because of the clock spring and I keep telling him it's doable
Why is it that nobody at any Ford dealership wants to answer the question whether it's possible to upgrade or not? Even the guys at CJ Pony Parts say it won't work unless my ecoboost came with paddle shifter. I really want to upgrade but I'm not comfortable doing it myself
The guys at CJ Pony parts say that a dark horse steering wheel with paddle shifters will only work on the ecoboost if it came with the paddles shifters originally . Don't know what to think anymore...
yeah I don't know if the sensor is there. I don't use forscan but I probably should look into.
I'm new to the world of mustangs so I'm a bit reluctant to crack it open
