Rims if Ford is doing a Fox theme

This thread has me imagining updated turbine, pony, 10 hole, and 93 cobra wheels. I would assume the ponys would be the best set for a modern interpretation, but who knows? I do like both of the optional Mach 1 wheel options currently.

I can't tell you how bad I wanted/want a teal 93 Cobra.

This was one of the best looking wheels on a fox. The ROH ZR6, not a factory Ford rim, but very sharp.

03 cobra wheels are my fav wheels on a fox, second would be the pony wheels.

Even if they're not directly doing a Fox theme I'd love to see three-spoke rims make a comeback on the Mustang. I feel I'd be the only one in that camp, however.

The TRX wheels (I assume those are the ones you are referring to) are one of my absolute favorites. I have a 1984 GT with the original metric size wheels that I had restored. 1984 was the last year for those. 1994-95 GT had a great looking 17" optional wheel that was styled like that.

There will be no Fox themed 7G Mustangs. Might be a few small areas of similarity, but the car is based on the S550. It will be nothing like a Fox. BTW, "Rim" is just the outer edge of a wheel. There is also a center in a wheel. A wheel with a tire mounted is a wheel assembly. Someone had to say it.

I forgot all about the Cobra rims. I absolutely adored that car.

You are right about that wheel….an Australian company I believe. I know they came in 16” and 17”. I am also pretty sure GM used this wheel, in some variation on the 94-96 Impala SS.

That does look like the Impala SS wheel. On a side note, glad the new car looks nothing like a Fox.
