Have you checked the H pipe connection. The clamps are known to come loose on the mustang. May just need tightening.
Tightened those, sound still present. K&n typoon kit may just be loud im thinking

I feel like the whistling is just gonna eat at me lmao, didn’t want to tune because don’t wanna void warranty with ford. But regardless I can’t find a whole OEM kit for the intake with the air box’s
I've found that strange noises reduce in annoyance/volume once I know what they are.

Yeah guys we gotta realize we drive 12:1 compression ratio air machines. And with the s650 twin 80mm stock intakes its an airmover.
would be bad if no sounds

My 24 dark horse manual started making a humming/whistling sound coming from the rear at 10000miles. It gets louder as I exclelerate. Doesn't do it at idle or reving standing still. After a trip to ford, they said it's. normal. If it's normal, why didn't it do it up until recently? Any thoughts will be helpful

its the intake. If you add oiled filters the sound will be more prominent. You probably had it before as well but didn't notice. The noise will come upon acceleration and the it will be buried form exhaust sound

I was driving my vert top down recently and put the exhaust in quiet (vs sport or track). I was shocked at how well I could hear the intakes suck. Very cool, sounds great.
…maybe not cool enough to drive in quiet

Enjoy the noise!

Thanks Mustang Noob. The sound is definitely new. My wife noticed it immediately and my 24 gt manual never made that whine in 6000 miles. If it is the intake, why do I hear it coming from the rear of the car.? In quiet mode it's more prominent ,but I still can hear it in sport. If it's normal, then why did it start whining at 10000 miles.

Maybe try to get the sound recorded on your phone ect? If its coming from the rear of the car id say that is not normal and should be investigated.

The ford service manager drove the car and heard it. They kept my car for 2 days, checked the hub /wheel bearings, axle seal ,differential fluid but couldn't replicate the sound on the lift. So they told me "it's probably normal" and come get my car lol.

Good you had the dealer replicate it.
A whine noise could be the transmission , which is normal , and you can hear it inside the cabin....
I suggest do not stress yourself over the nosies. Just have them recorded to the dealer and go enjoy the car. if it brakes it will be under warranty

I have a very similar sound on my 24 manual Dark Horse and have been wondering what it is. The exact sound can be heard in this video from Steeda @ the 11:00 mark.

Guessing it has to be the intakes because the sound stops during shifts/as soon as I let off the throttle. Anyone think it's worth getting checked out before my warranty is expired?
