Did you hear mine in the video? Mine isn’t exactly at WOT, but more so just halfway acceleration, I feel like I’m psyching myself out for no reason LMAO

I just did now with headphones on. That sounds normal to me. I was exaggerating a little on the whistle volume and at WOT.
Id say anytime moderate throttle I get some air sounds. Twin 80mm intakes it is going to do that Id think.

No. Ive driven several of these cars and never heard a whistle like that. Its because of his aftermarket intakes. The website even advertises noise changes to the car with that kit.

Agreed Ryan, Stock should not do it. I should have mentioned on mine i did carbon deletes, and the new Steeda filters with the top cone inlets. plus run windows down as often as I can

Maybe I’ll go with a JLT kit instead? Seems pretty cheap at $450 for the whole setup. Interesting thing is mine. Doesn’t really sound like the vacuum noise that the reviewers have in the video most common thing I keep hitting myself on the head with is. “Is this normal” Don’t know why I’m always so much into my head with these cars.

Well the sound is normal for that intake, and its not hurting anything. Don't get worked up over it. You may experience someting similar with the JLT too.

Did you not know the car was modded when you bought it?

I did see the intake and heard the exhaust. Mentioned it to the sales person and he had a tech test drive it, Tech did not seem very knowledgeable and salesman was not very familiar with Mustang. Just had it up on a lift at my shop and the only abnormal thing was black soot where the HPIPE clamps were, my tech move the clamps up and tighten them, but besides that nothing. The driver side air filter was a little loose and my tech tightened that up, but it did nothing for the noise lol. I’m a service writer but still working into the bigger things with vehicles as they come in and I’m learning, but you can imagine the reaction of other technicians when I’m bringing in my brand new car to get looked at almost feels embarrassing lol. Car only has 4k miles

I have heard the sound on both my cars. I had a 2024 6speed base Gt and now have a 2025 6speed performance pack GT. It starts only under moderate/heavy acceleration around 3k and is present till about 5.5k. No mods for either car. I did notice that as I broke in both cars the noise subsided. The noise I hear now is very minimal but there. I don’t worry about it and ignore it.

The 2025 PP Gt always made less sound than the 2024. I tried to figure out the root of the sound and I just don’t know where it’s coming from. I would guess it’s from the intake. My 25 now has 6k.

Sure yours wasn’t the trans whine? Did you look at the intake at all?

I have heard the trans whine and this is something different. This sound seems to come from the engine compartment. Early on, I did check the intake and the clamp was loose. Tightened it up and sound was still the same. I just came to the conclusion that it is a characteristic of the car. Along with the BBQ tick it’s just a car that makes random sounds and is a blast to drive everyday to work.

I made a post a while back about the sound I was hearing. Since then people have DM’d me asking about the sound as well. Seems that this is not an uncommon sound.

Yes, it’s normal. The whistling is the sound a partially open throttle body makes. Harder to hear with stock air intakes, as they do a good job muffling that sound. Aftermarket intakes amplify it.

if anyone has owned a fox body, you are very familiar with this sound, particularly when you upgrade throttle body size.

I have a whipple 112mm throttle body currently and it absolutely makes this same sound under part throttle. So yes, it’s normal, yes it’s the throttle bodies, and no it isn’t anything to worry about… unless it annoys you; then I’d recommend reverting back to stock intake tubes to quiet things down.

I have similar sound n only hear it when I’m accelerating but I do have cooks headers installed. The tech who installed it said it’s sound from headers. But your case might be the intake.

Yeah no headers for me, just stumped. Might windup trying a JLT setup and seeing if it changes anything

Thank you, all of you have been great

It's the intake. It happens after accelerating then it either goes away or the sound is covered by the exhaust sound. I have it too since day 0. Both in the old engine and new engine. I have the stock filters and I can hear it. If I remove the lids it becomes more noticeable.

Hi all!,

just got a 24 5.0 premium 10R80. Previous owner only did H-PIPE RESONATER DELETE and k&n Typoon Cold air Intake. I noticed a whistling noise when I accelerate mostly present when my foot is more than halfway down and it seems to go away at higher speeds. Is this normal with a cold air intake? Just getting into the car scene now, so I apologize for asking a stupid question. I had one of my buddies tighten up everything in regards to the intake and he told me he “couldn’t hear” what I was talking about. It just sounds like a whistle. Does anyone else have this set up or anything similar and hear what I hear? Thank you again in advance, and I look forward to being a part of this community.
Have you checked the H pipe connection. The clamps are known to come loose on the mustang. May just need tightening.
