Hi, Looking to see if anyone might have an idea on why my Mustang is making an odd clicking/tick/rattle sound on acceleration, With the windows down seems OK from the outside but with the Windows UP inside the cabin I hear the following.

Taking in in soon for my 1st Service (Piece of Mind) service and getting an oil change but I have been in two other Mustangs now both 2025.00 V8's and none make the same sound as mine.

Almost sounds like hazard/turn signal

Sounds like turn signal somehow coming on. Check to see if it’s signaling under acceleration. Maybe a BCM issue??

@SharshipEnterprise and @Zig, its the rattle past the turn signal / Warning sound thats because I am driving and signaling, its the sound when I am reving / acceleratring the car the clicking/rattle/buzzing sound.

More Present in the first video
Edited the Video to the correct part

Hard to pinpoint from the video. Could be anything. Loose retaining clip etc. Is it coming from the door panels? First place I'd look.

If its around 2k rpm there is some heat shielding that rattles around that point. Also could be some coyote tick they all definitely don't sound the same. My wifes gt had coyote tick very loud that was audible all the damn time, my dark horse is only noticeable when im backing i to my garage, or going through a drive through where there is a wall for the sound to echo off of.

Definitely not door panels, it’s almost like it’s coming from inside the engine bay and feeding into the cabin.

Yeah I get the little whine/high pitched screech in the 2k rpm range but stops into the 3k range+ but this is a different sound.

My active exhaust seems to have extra hoses in front of the engine which look like vacuum hoses. When I first looked over my car, they were poorly secured and flopping around. I secured them in spots with zip ties.

That may not be it for you, but look in your engine bay for any loose cables or hoses.

Coyote tick doesn't happen when accelerating. The 2k rattle is something else entirely.

I can't really hear anything on the OPs video.
