I did see the intake and heard the exhaust. Mentioned it to the sales person and he had a tech test drive it, Tech did not seem very knowledgeable and salesman was not very familiar with Mustang. Just had it up on a lift at my shop and the only abnormal thing was black soot where the HPIPE...
Maybe I’ll go with a JLT kit instead? Seems pretty cheap at $450 for the whole setup. Interesting thing is mine. Doesn’t really sound like the vacuum noise that the reviewers have in the video most common thing I keep hitting myself on the head with is. “Is this normal” Don’t know why I’m always...
I feel like the whistling is just gonna eat at me lmao, didn’t want to tune because don’t wanna void warranty with ford. But regardless I can’t find a whole OEM kit for the intake with the air box’s
No, previous owner said it is not tuned. Also on the K and N website it indicates that this setup does not need to be tuned. It says no tune required. It’s crazy how much more of this car pops though in track exhaust mode compared to my S550
Thank you for the info my friend, I appreciate it. I may learn to live with it overtime, or possibly just go back to a stock set up. What do you think that will cost about?
I don’t not have the factory air boxes, but that’s what everyone seems to be pointing to. I only had one other Mustang a couple years ago, which was a 2021 Mustang GT that only had an x pipe on it and no CAI, it did not make this noise. I’m just surprised at how prominent the whistling is. Maybe...
Did you hear mine in the video? Mine isn’t exactly at WOT, but more so just halfway acceleration, I feel like I’m psyching myself out for no reason LMAO
In the video that I just put in this thread, keep in mind it is only under load, I cannot replicate the sound when stationary, everyone around me with mechanical knowledge is just telling me it’s the sound of the intakes and the fact that the S650 has two gigantic intakes that’s what could be...
Noise not present when stationary at all, only when actually in drive and driving. When I’m accelerating I can differentiate the whistle and the exhaust, but only when I’m actually foot down on the throttle. One of my techs at my job said he couldn’t hear it at all so I’m drawing blanks
You can’t hear mine when revving while stationary, only when I actually “push down” on the gas pretty firmly while accelerating . Don’t tell me I have to deal with this forever lol I was convinced that it is the cold air intake. Do you have a video?
Hi all!,
just got a 24 5.0 premium 10R80. Previous owner only did H-PIPE RESONATER DELETE and k&n Typoon Cold air Intake. I noticed a whistling noise when I accelerate mostly present when my foot is more than halfway down and it seems to go away at higher speeds. Is this normal with a cold air...
