So - Im trying to be patient! I ordered 2025 DH Premium w/HP, stick, Matte Black July 24th 2024. Alot of story in between, and she finally went under production July 7th 2025. I tried looking, and perhaps missed it but anyone have an indication of when it will be done? My (2nd dealer in this situation) dealer has been amazing, Long McArthur Ford and very communicative. He feels it will be in a few more weeks. But love to get others experience On how long yours took from start a production date to delivery.
Thanks!

I hope you get it soon….That’s rough trying to special order a car only to have to wait over a year to get it. It seems a terrible incentive for building your own specs.

I’m not that patient…i would have just grabbed something close that was already built…lol

I would have searched around the country and then had the vehicle shipped to you. I applaud and salute you for how long you have waited as you mentioned it was July of last year and now it's already in July of 2025.
I did try that for quite a few months, but they didn't have the exact things I wanted. The most important being a stick shift. But thank you for the, applause hopefully, I will post a photo of her in a few weeks!!

#1 does said dealer have allocation and what is the priority code on your order. On the priority code what is the physical proof from Ford not what dealer says.

Unfortunately, orders like this can be a total crap shoot.

I bought mine from a dealership that had an allotment and a spec that I wanted. I think I bought it in July of 2024; it hadn't even been built yet. Somehow I was given a PRIORITY 1 rating even though the dealership I bought from only had an allotment of 2 Dark Horses for 2024.

You can see the lifecycle below.

Also, your BUILD TRACKER isn't always accurate either LOL AND a car can sit on the shipping lot for days, weeks, or even a month or two, prior to being shipped becuase they have to wait until all the trucks or train cars are fully loaded going to a specific area before it ships.

My GT took a month to be delivered after it was produced. I don't think there is a "good" answer due to normal logistical complications.

3 -4 weeks from production to delivery seems pretty common...

Did you go matte black with the CF wheels?... that is so sick! šŸ‘
I had the cf wheels, but they told me they were no longer producing them. So the dealership is finding me similar wheels as far as look. Ys I'm so excited!@

Yes, I took their allocation, and they gave me priority one. Because I'd been sitting with another dealer for months who told me they had allocation, but they didn't. Long horrible story

If you are priority 1 you I’ll have by the end of Sept or before.

OP, you gotta be excited and we’re all excited for you!

Admittedly i know nothing about the Ford order process but I cannot imagine how it could take a year to order anything. That’s the biggest reason Iā€˜ve never had Dave Kindig build me a car. Well, that and at my age I don’t buy green bananas.

My style is I see a new Mustang online but nearby I like, call to verify it’s there then show up with my trade and title. I tell ā€˜em what I’ll do and I’m back home two hours after I first saw the car online. Most recent deal I had two trades so they had to send a guy back with me to get my second trade.

Patience is not my long suit and you are to be congratulated!

Just a word to the wise.

Inspect the car when it comes, with a fine tooth comb and a magnifying glass. Mine had rear bumper facia or whatever that big rear plastic piece is called (it escapes me right now), it was very obvious and it was replaced to perfect condition by my dealer. Had I not trusted my dealer very much and known them very well, it would not have been a deal. Always be ready to walk away. Ford assembly is nothing to brag about.
