What is your Mustang hot take? (please be respectful)

What opinion do you have about the Mustang that might be considered a "hot take" or controversial? please be respectful of others' opinions

for me its two:
1. the 2010-2012 S197 tail lights look better than the 2013-2014 versions
2. the TR-3160 is not as much of an upgrade as people say it is. i say this as someone who has owned a 10-speed Mach 1 and Dark Horse, and gotten to drive a GT350, Bullitt, and manual EcoBoost, GT, Mach 1, and Dark Horse

No way. I've owned both a 2012 and 2014. 2014 was better.

With the disclaimer that I am about 8 months in and I would make the same deal to buy the same car again.

The Mustang has suffered a Guccification trying too hard IMO to woo snooty buyers of status symbol marques at the expense of the core Mustang enthusiasts.

It’s a fantastic performer; if you grew up knowing muscle cars, the terrible cars of the 70’s and early 80’s ask yourself - could you have predicted a 500hp small block in a regular production car?

A 3700 lb porker that could really use a Wegovy script (and some exercise)!

Too big and too many unnecessary bells and whistles (electronic everything, computers/screens).

I really like my GT; I just wish it was smaller and lighter with the same HP/TQ/braking/handling, etc

Hot take: no complaints. Never would’ve thought the Mustang GT would have almost 500HP stock, that was Dodge Viper & exotic car power not that long ago (aging myself here a bit)!!! Also, it’s a relative bargain compared to what else 50-60K will buy you on the market for performance cars.

It’s just a fun car in a world and sea of mundane, boring, point A to B cars - that’s the best way to put it.

Hot Take-
Still not in love with the S650 Front end even though I bought the DH. Sides and rear I like.
I will never own another Ford 10-speed in any car or suv ever again!
The Tremec is by far the best manual I have ever driven

Shelbys an overhyped, overpriced sticker name now that the old man is dead. Ford is better served moving on.

Less hot take:
The S650 body design is what the S550 should have been, not that eurocar wannabe that it was.

I kinda remember when the 13-14's came out some referred to the front as guppy like. Like anything new it finally grew on people. The taillights were way nicer than the 10-12's.

My hot take is * I kinda like the hate from s550 owners thinking that 24s are slower, heavier and not tuneable…
