Welcome/approach lighting not working

The welcome lighting is turned on in Settings—> Vehicle—> Lighting but it doesn’t work when I get close to the car with the fob. The welcome lighting does work when I unlock the car. This just started happening. The second key fob is not in/near the car. Thoughts?

no messages about low battery and it starts and runs (with remote start also) and I only have 1500 miles on it but hey, you never know. I’ll put it on a charger overnight and see if that makes a difference.

I tried that a few times. I have on a charger now. Will check it in the morning and if it doesn’t fix it, I’ll try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

Did you try the second fob if it does the same thing? Maybe a low battery in the fob?

I had the same problem, low battery was the first problem. It seems that somehow after the battery was recharged forscan showed that the setting was disabled, so I had to modify those settings also.

Ok, this old bonehead may have figured this out.

Normally, I park the Mustang in my single garage (I have a 3 car) which puts the car at the farthest distance away from the laundry room which is where our extra/spare keys are stored (most of you already see where this is going) hanging on the wall (we go thru the laundry room to go into the garage). Anyhoo…I parked the mustang in the two car garage closest to the laundry room and the spare fob. Evidently, the distance (8 feet?) was not enough to trigger the car that I have left the area. To test this, I walked away with both fobs (about 30 feet), came back and I now get the welcome lighting.

As I typed this, it just seemed soooo obvious to why this happened. I just know that no one will ever do this but I went to great lengths to explain this just in case. Sorry for the TMI.
