It drove me absolutely crazy that inside the trunk, you could just see bare metal, exposed wiring, and protruding bolts—it looked truly awful. I designed a custom nylon panel, flocked it, and covered up the area Ford should have finished at the factory. There’s less unwanted noise now, the stock audio sounds significantly better, and visually, the car looks premium rather than like a cheap cart.

My old body would never be able to position itself to see anything back there. And mine is a convertible so it is probably a little different. But I will never see it.

Looks good. Please advise if you will be selling copies of the Trunk Panel you designed and providing installation instructions and any required fasteners or hardware? Thank you. MWB

Thank you for your interest! No additional fasteners are required; everything is built into the deck itself. Everything works on the “plug and forget” principle. There’s no point in creating an installation manual, as I specifically designed everything so that even a child could do it. The entire installation takes less than a minute (it’s best if someone helps you from inside the cabin while you’re lying in the trunk — this way, you can simultaneously insert the parts into the right places). I didn’t plan to sell it; I made it primarily for myself. I live in Germany, and shipping something of this size can be extremely expensive. Plus, it takes me about 2 weeks to produce one deck: five days for printing, then about three days for chemical welding of all the parts, followed by flocking. I don’t want to make huge profits from this, as I consider this community to be closer than just a hobby club, but even at cost, this part will cost around 500 euros. I’m not sure anyone will want to buy it from me. I could sell the 3D model ready for printing, but there are a couple of nuances that people need to know. I use nylon, and you can’t just glue this material together; I used a special acid for chemical welding. This can be hazardous to your health, and I wouldn’t want to take on such a burden of responsibility. Anyway, the idea of selling it is interesting, but I don’t know how to implement it.

Below is a Link to a company in the USA you might wish to contact to sell your design to. They made covers for the 2024+ Mustang Front Wheel Well Liners to cover the holes before Ford changed the design to eliminate the holes. I bought those parts and they worked well. The Link is: https://diyvan.com/

Yea; I'd definitely buy one if DIYVan made them!
