There are tuners here in Germany who are specialised in this but to be honest I am not sure if that is risk free. If something happens with the eletronics, you are deffo screwed here and you will loose your warranty.

I was actually pretty happy with the ambient light on the S550.

IF THEY JUST WOULD HAVE LET THE CUPHOLDERS LIGHTS IN TACT FOR THE S650.... But now, for whatever stupid reasons they had to remove it. *ucking bellends.....sorry but that makes me angry whenever I got reminded about this topic.

This is the kit I used you can just wire it to 12v and use it that way but will
Will just use the remote to change the color,

The problem with that is: If you plug it in the 12V, you still have all the cables around which looks stupid. So either you need to neatly hide them or don't use it at all. I tried it once for the back which was okay. Plugged it in the 12V in the middle console compartment and put the LED strings underneath the seats so that the back foot room also have ambient light haha

I watched his video and wanted to do it but it got too confusing after a bit. I have been planning to install these lights forever but never got to it. Looks super awesome!

Can I hire you bro? Atleast give me a masterclass so that I can do it myself lol.

P.S- I am serious
Yeah I work so much, this was just little something I messed with on the weekend, I feel someone will probably come out with a kit, making the leds is most time consuming part. But I put the kit in here same one I used just without modifying it can be plugged in a done

That looks great! Thank you for sharing this.
Wondering why you never think of looking beyond the plate and offer this as standard and it is still a mystery to me why you removed the lights in the cupholders.

That looks cool but is it always that bright while driving or can you vary the intensity

Wow that looks awesome. Terrible with wires and stuff but would love to put one right above the wireless charger like you did. Not sure where I would wire it to. I’d want it to be controlled with the mycolor system

You should have done a guide so that people can do the same to theirs.
I linked the video of all the info I used to do it in this thread and the kit I used, there isn’t too much to show.

It's been a while! How are things with your ambient light? Still happy? Do you have some new pictures or footage to share?

I was wondering how this impact the electronics overall, because you use the power from the main source. LED needs way less energy than conventional light, but are there are risks for a failure or if something catches fire? How about warranty of the car after the make over?

Yeah it’s been few months already have over 6k miles on the car, no issues it’s only 7 leds I added to the system you could power the whole thing off a 9v battery, it’s so little draw. All leds have 3 resistors per leds they don’t get to hot it’s a low draw and led it’s self doesn’t get hot. I made the whole system with posi taps so I could remove it if needed but there’s no issue. As far as warranty it’s a small thing, I’m not gonna wait 5 years or 60k miles to change a single thing on my car. I’m also lowing it.

I really like how it’s over the wireless charger. I couldn’t never do this though I’m awful with wires. Where did you tap into from the wireless charger?
