If you watched the video, the ford rep said the car was a test mule the 7.3 control pack with a manual trans. They also had a prototype of an intake manifold for the 7.3 that will fit under the hood of most cars.

so much for higher oil pressure to protect the motor when revving it high in the range like Coyote.

Mark Wilson and other designers/engineers probably have one of the funnest jobs I can think of. Getting paid to do what you love, building kick-ass things, testing/operating them and revealing them to the public.
