You saw 30-40whp gains from a aftermarket tune on an S550 stock. Thinking you will see 10 on the S650 is laughable at the very least.
So you think you're going to see 30-40whp gains on the S650? Or not as much?

Let's wait and see.

No we're not going to see 30+HP gains on 93.

Rob from PBD went thru the S650 tune which shows the stock tune is capable of dialing up 31+ degrees of timing,
But it's gunna take some kinda Unicorn conditions to ever see that.

And from the amount of knock I've seen on the 93 octane I've logged, it'll never get there on pump 93.

I did see 29 last week which is the most timing I've ever seen, that was on E40. 1/8mile pass was 7.57s @97 DA was 200.

Usually I see 27 on E40; here's the log from my 11.61s @124.

A few guys are in the 10,9xx's NA now so I have no doubt if we ever get E85 tuning and shifting at 7800 these S650's will run 10,9xx's with pulling a couple hundred pounds off the car, skinny's and DR's and keeping the OE BREMBO's.

my first time hearing about the 25s having "dual encryption"

that guy is just an undesirable menace

in any case, its 100% going to be cracked open, its just a matter of time. my favorite example of this is the game Sonic Generations. at the start, it was simple mods, but now (13 years later) its more or less completely open from what i can tell, with people adding new playable characters with their own abilities. its not a matter of "if", it's "when"
good to know. I was hoping they weren't trying to physically lock the dam thing down. Love the description of stangmode spot on.

You will not get anyone with any knowledge of tuning that the ECU has been cracked/accessed addressing it till maybe after the new year or when it is close to coming out. It would cause a shit storm of emails/calls from people crying about when it is going to be released.

I would keep an eye on Procharger, which I believe is releasing a tuned kit after the new year, along with a few other FI kits from other companies. From what I have seen these other kits are doing tuning without Ford's help.

As far as making a good amount of power from a tune, I'd be really skeptical of 30-40whp unless you are going all out N/A and most of that will be the hardware mods and not the tuning.

As stated the gains on a stock car will be minimal but there are tuning that will make it worth it and even help on the track. Torque management and shift points will be enough alone to make the car feel faster.

Procharger said they were working with Ford on the calibration

1) don’t listen to Hennessey
2) it’s going to be a good wait and i mean a good wait, don’t be surprised if they’re isn’t anything after marking tuning available unless they bench flash or figure out a work around like they do on the GR Corolla
3) I’m surprised FRPP, Roush and Whipple haven’t gotten or at least announced a carb legal tune for the people in the mean time. Honestly the time is now to push something out because they would have the market cornered.
What I am wondering is if Ford Performance will offer a 91/93 tune like they had for the S550 eco’s and GT’s.

If so, WTF are they waiting for? At his point, I'd buy a Ford warrantied tune. It may light a fire under the sales of these cars as well.

I think the Ford Performance warrantied tune for the s550s came out in late 2016, and the s550 came out in late 2014, so that's about a two year wait for that model. The s650 came out in late 2023, so if it follows the same time frame, late 2025 is when a Ford Performance tune will release 🤷🏼‍♂️

What about the Rev limiter and this thing falling flat on its face?

Fingers crossed for this.

Daryle Wengerd has been doing some tests with the 24 dual intake on a s550 and gains seem to be significant up top. Looks promising.

I would definitely love an 8000rpm tune for my manual Dark Horse. The stock 7250rpm soft limiter is ridiculous.

Not sure what your question is, But, Yes the car falls flat if you tag the 7500rpm limiter.

I'm saying that this is a true issue when you take into account how much the motor still has left its insane ford fed it up this bad. You're winning a race then bam you hit a wall. Not to mention the wierd shifting, which could all be fixed with proper tuning. I feel like ford has eather dropped the ball or sold the diy guys out to they partners. You get a car that's rated for e85 but yet we can't run it because they say no? Unless you are going to go with whiple or roush there is nothing you can do to these cars.
