We're 90 days since order and Ford has made little progress building our 24 Ecoboost premium convertible. We have no skin in the game and I sold our trade right after we ordered the car. I'm going to look at a 24 BMW 430i convertible tomorrow. Sure, it's 10K+ more than the Mustang but looks intreging. We're mid-70's and not really looking for speed. We looked at the Mustang after selling our Honda S2000 as it was getting harder and harder to exit. Time will tell.

Is the Z4 out of your price range? That's one great convertible with one of the best engines anywhere.

Price isn't an issue. The Z is too much like our S2000 - Too low

A lot of owners here say the S650 was with the wait. If you can I'd either stick with it or buy one off the lot. I think you'll be glad you did in the end.

Took 5 months for my order to get scheduled.

Definitely stick with the Ecoboost Mustang. It is going to be way more fuel efficient than the S2000 you had or the BMW convertible.

Not a good reason to buy the Mustang. My Hybrid Highlander gets 35 mpg. I’ll drive it 90% of the time.

Lmao I ordered a dark horse April 6 maybe get it by next June lol, you obviously haven’t ordered a new model car in demand with an auto strike

I’m right with you. Ordered April 2nd. Still unscheduled clean. Winters coming so spring is ok by me. My luck it will get delivered in a blizzard.

The days of ordering any vehicle and picking up in six to eight weeks ended years ago. As many of the contributing factors have continued, if not increased, it's difficult to see the situation improving.

I can't speak to the dealer your working with, their management of allocations and why in 90 days nothing has happened. S650 verts seem plentiful elsewhere. Convertibles do not appear to be constrained, by the latest report. There are plenty of S650 coupes in the Tucson area.

I started with a Tucson ZIP, search within 100 miles / 160 km. One red vert on site with three more to be built.

Extending to a 200 mile radius / 320 km, yielded 34 verts, primarily white, red and black.

Finally, at a 500 mile radius / 800 km, 140 verts are seen, all different colors.

Regarding the in/out vehicle height, I'd test fit an S650 in your area. If there's one in a search with the color and options you're looking for, you could travel and drive back. If that is not an option, dealers can often transfer cars amongst one another.

S650 or BMW, Best Wishes in whatever path you take.
