That last one is especially terrible because I believe that's a Mazda body with a Toyota front end. Mazda has very beautiful, organic designs, and Toyota is all agression and hard edges. Just doesn't work.

Right now over here in Europe they have switched this thing around. The new Mazda 2 Hybrid is a Toyota Yaris with a Mazda badge on it.

Ok, I try to appreciate when designers create something unique, and some of Toyota's designs, like the new rav 4 and sienna don't look awful to me. But what the fuck is that? Looks like something living in the basement of the Chernobyl plant for 40 years and it's just be unleashed to wreak havoc on all that's good in the world.

Don't give them inspiration for their mood boards!!!!!! But yeah, Toyota is especially bad at making almost good looking cars, and then messing it up somewhere. The Avalon is a pretty clean, attractive looking sedan. Then you get to that hideous grille, and it ruins it. The current Highlander was a massive downgrade over the previous design, which was sharp, and restrained. The new one is lumpy, and fussy, just a disaster. There's a lack of cohesion in many modern designs. Where they try to make some aspects of the design really restrained, and others over the top. I say, pick a theme and stick to it. If you're going to make a agressive design, make it agressive all around. If you're going to do a cleaner design, keep it clean everywhere. Ford and Mazda are both very good at having cohesive designs, that's why their cars look great.

The GT looks great.
For some reason, the dark horse just looks dated, ugly, and like an aftermarket kit that wasn’t designed well. Like a pep boys kit.

i do. Looking at the dark horse hurts. The fact that the design team was allowed to produce such an ugly car when so much is riding on it is harsh.
