They could have at least given it a cooler shift knob. That could also change by production. With that said, easy fix either way.

The production DH has a fire blued titanium shift knob. No photos yet but it is 3d printed.

How do you know?
Because they haven't allowed ANYONE to even look inside the pre-production Dark Horses that were on display at the motor show. They were tinted to like zero, and never opened the doors. The DH appearance package with the blue interior hasn't even been shown in a mock up, yet.

With regards to the interio

It's said to have a different colored seats , paddles/knob, suede/Alcantara wheel from what I have seen. Most likely the color on the stitching.
Indeed. Plus a white knob or something cool/different for the Tremec shifter. And the mustang logo on the steering wheel would be updated to the DH logo.

And if we like to dream: smaller bezels on the digital dashboard so that you can see more of the hood and track as you drive sitting low. And dreaming even more: additional physical toggles and switches to allow quick AC and ventilation adjustment while tracking.

I can already imagine the graphical user interaction « experts » enhancing the DH digital dash for track mode with this popup when you touch the AC button area: Please focus your attention on the track. For your safety, AC controls have been disabled until the next pitstop. Click the « I accept and Agree » button at the bottom far-right of your screen to continue.

I'm curious to see the interior as well. I'd like to know what the difference between the "standard" Dark Horse interior and the appearance package interiors look like.

The major difference of a GT and Darkhorse in terms of interior were deschribed by Ford in a press release. A of those, differences are not that huge and yet we don't know if there is more to come.

1. Mustang Dark Horse comes standard with a unique six-speed TREMEC manual transmission that connects to the driver through a standard 3D-printed titanium shift ball. Drivers also have the option to choose Ford’s advanced 10-speed automatic transmission with sport paddle shifters for fast and precise shifting – from the highway to the race circuit.

2. A thicker, flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in suede and finished with Bright Indigo Blue accent stitching.

3.
Contrasting blue stitching across the door panels and seats, gear shift gaiter and center console lift the ambiance of the cabin, enhanced further by unique blue seatbelts. The Mustang Dark Horse Appearance Pack adds Deep Indigo Blue seats with a unique seat perforation, emitting further hints of blue below the surface.

4. Interior trim, bezels and vents are finished in Black Alley – a dark metallic gloss replacing the familiar bright silver shades of other Mustang trim levels.

5. There is a different " welcome" screen when turning on the Darkhorse.

6. On the steering wheel there will be an additional/special button to select drive modes.
