That’s a good point, @Gunnar2015 why don’t you want to use the easy entry/exit?
I'm only 5'2" so the seat us closer then normal. It's not that I don't want to use the easy entry/exit but it was suggested but even when I get out of the car when I use it again it's back to my driving position (#1). Could the easy entry/exit turned itself back on? I'll have to check

The easy entry/exit will move the seat forward each time you start the car, and back each time you shut it off. If its not doing that, then its either switched off or not functioning properly.

I agree with others. The easy entry/exit feature seems like the most logical solution to your issue. I don't quite understand why you shut it off as you said earlier. Maybe im missing something.

My 2018 ford edge when I had it, I had the fob set for seat position 1, so when I walked up to it, it would be ready. I never tried the easy exit, because I am 6' tall and I didnt want to wear out the motors (or something silly like that). but after my wife drove it, I would be able to walk up to it, and everything was back where it should be after I hit the unlock button.

Maybe the fobs were programmed before you got the car. Maybe someone at the dealer was showing a demonstration or tinkering around and programmed them.. you might need both fobs to clear them out, or grab the other fob and see if the same thing happens as the main fob?

My Bronco doesnt have memory seats n stuff :(

However nobody touches my 24 GT so I havent had to play with them.

I was making it more complicated than it had to be. I turned the exit/entry back on and when I get out of the cat the seat moves back and when I get back in the car, as long as I don't start the car until I'm in, when I start the car it moves to my preferred driving position.

Thank you to everyone who helped/made suggestions. I would have never gotten this kind of help on FB. You guys rock.

Is it going to position #3 or could this perhaps be the issue?

This is exactly what mine does every time I exit the car. The next time I get in, it is fully rearward. When I turn the key, the seat automatically returns to my last driving position. In my case, I have all three driver positions set exactly the same, except #3 tilts the mirrors in case I have to parallel park. Once in a while, the seat doesn't move forward, so I just press #1, and off I go. Glenn

So I'm only 5"2" tall, so the steering wheel is fairly close for driving, and it's hard for me to get out of the car. I took the suggestion to turn off the entry/exit function, but I'm still having problems. I programmed button #3, where I would like to be, for me to get out of the car. The next time I get in the car, it's back in my driving position. My husband's suggestion is to press #3 before I enter the car, so the seat will go back so I can get in the car, but I don't always remember to do that, and then I'm having problems getting in the car, especially if I'm carrying things. I just thought the group would know of a workaround, being short is really a problem lol.
Turning off the exit/entry feature will stop the seat from moving rearward when you exit. If you want more space for exit/entry, you want the seat to automatically move rearward so the next time you get in, it is already moved back. Glenn
