Seat options

Just ordered a Dark horse and wanted to go over seating options and see what others are being told. From what I can tell there are three different options for seating
1. Standard cloth seats- which includes power and heating functions
2. Recaro micro suede- which is just manual seating
3. Recaro leather trimmed seats- which is just manual seating.

I honestly can’t believe leather seats are not even an option for A top of the line Mustang. From what I’ve heard as well is a cooling/ventilated seat is not even offered.
I still plan on ordering one and understand this isn’t a luxury car. But just chaps my ass a little.

Anybody else hear anything differern

Cooled seats are not offered with the Recaros.

I totally agree, it doesn’t add up.

The pic below is from the order guide.
700A says “AA Dinamica”, in what seems to be the non-Recaro seat column.
Google says “Dinamica is a microfibre fabric with a suede like feel. It has excellent technical specifications, and wearability, and is used by many leading automotive brands including Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Land Rover.”.
Not sure what the “AA” prefix means though.
So maybe it is ‘better’ than leather?

At one point the Build & Price had the words “leather” for the 700A, but that is no longer there.

The non-Recaro has heated and cooled seats.

there's documentation out there (and build and price) from Ford that conflicts with itself. Here's my wag at it

600A (base): cloth
700A: leather/dinamica comfort seats
Recaro: leather all manual, no heat, no cool

your chart above basically says the same. build and price doesn't show leather for 700A. order guide also doesn't mention leather for 700A. But....

Yeah, that is what I would expect, Leather with Dinamica for 700A.
Your build sheet should be the most accurate info.

So just got off the phone from my dealer. He has tried every such way he can think of to make it say leather trimmed seats without adding the recaro. He can’t seem to figure it out and has even sent me updated information from ford that got sent out today regarding seating. I will have it attached.
Rio Lobo, if you wouldn’t mind giving me information on the dealer you ordered through my dealer would love to call and ask him how he made it that way. It would be a tremendous help.
also, my dealer says he currently has 2 more allocations on Dark horse orders. They are 5k over MSRP but two allotments still available.
The build sheet listed is mine. The third attachment is in the actual order bank to choose the options for seats.

DH recaro seats are the micro suede with a vinyl trim, just like we had on the GT350. No leather recaros from everything I see.

My order sheet for non Recaro seats in the Dark Horse say leather trimmed. I believe they are much like what I found in a single picture of dark horse interior from someone driving a pre-production model. The other is the picture of the Dark Horse Recaro’s. I’m not sure about GT.

Just wanted to update
Looks like there might have been a glitch in Fords build site. Multiple people have stated their order shows leather trimmed non recaro. This is in fact not true. Cloth/dynamica is the only option for non Recaro seats. If you get your dealer to look at the build again it should state cloth/vinyl dynamica as only non recaro option. You might want a new print off showing that.
The picture above does seem to be the non Recaro option. As Vinyl and Leather are similar. Hopefully this helps guys. I will be digging more into it but I feel we might have our answer.

So basically the seats from a California Special. Ford used the brand name Miko suede for those.

Had my dealer print current order sheet. It now says "cloth/vinyl dinamica" and "blue" as opposed to "leather trimmed seats" and "indigo" on the 3/27 order summary

Is it just me, or is this disappointing? I feel like for a $60k car they can put real leather in the Mustang. It looks like the GT premium with 401a package has real leather. Why not Dark Horse? Or am I missing something?

You’re missing something! The Dark House has Dinamica which is pretty much the same as Alcantara or Miko Suede. This is a step up from leather. The California Special and GT350 had these seats. This is on the seating surfaces. The bolsters, sides and back are vinyl as they always have.
