Double clutching isn’t necessary, but heel and toeing is a PITA. I drove stick since 1970, and all this discussion is pure opinion. I rev match, double clutch, power shift, and once in a blue moon shift without clutching. I’m just happy to drive.
It is a PITA in the Mustang because of the pedal arrangement (at least in RHD models) and slightly grabby brakes. Try it in a MX5 Miata; it's an utter joy.
Possibly the best car I've had for heel and toe was a Jaguar X Type, oddly.

Interesting. Optional Brembo's are grabby, and these prevent smooth stopping technique. I just don't see any need for heel and toe unless racing, but driving habits are up to the individual. The only racing I did was stop light to stop light, and I didn't need fancy footwork to stop-unless that was a panic stop.

I had it turned off...I would do it manually. Whats the point of having the computer doing it for you when you can do it yourself. Thats the engagement part of the manual.

My first vehicle was a 4spd Datsun B-210. Then I went in a we had Jeeps! So yeah, 'grind it to you find it' was how I learned.

I use it. Yes, I know how to do it myself, but why? Also, it sounds glorious. With my new setup, it will be even more so!

Lastly, being new to tracking, I have enough to worry about. Rev matching is just one less thing on my list.

Personally I'm immature and only use it to rev through all the gears when rolling to a stop if I feel like drawing attention.

As I said to another poster, all the driver needs to do is match revs to road speed, heel and toeing does that on downshifts. The synchros are there to match actual gear speeds.
What double declutching does is trade insignificant syncho wear with double the work on the throw out bearing and pressure plate diaphragm.
But, if you like doing it, keep doing it.
I suspect the overwhelming amount of people here have never had a reason to use road racing skills on city streets. That is unless they need to pass a blue hair that’s holding up traffic on a street with 35 mph limit. 😎

For those with manual transmission, do you use Rev Matching or not in everyday driving, not tracking?
Rev matching is the game changer that removes the only valid reason IMO to not want a manual transmission in a daily. It makes constantly and rapid downshifts quite pleasant. No more guessing if I have the RPMs right and having the car jerk if I’m not perfect each time. Plus it sounds cool. I’m a big fan of the feature.

In the begining i fell that the rev matching was little weird for me, then i disabled it. But several mounths later i fell that was better with rev matching on. I enabled it again and I always drive like this.

I actually ran the car hard most of the weekend with it off (usually is on) I had almost forgotten how you lose engine breaking with RM on. Both modes are pure joy to me

You sure about that? The car absolutely engine brakes with rev matching on. Surely you aren’t saying you use the clutch to brake? If you’re going into a lower gear at lower RPM than you should then you are just burning up the clutch instead of your brakes. Brakes, even the full brembo brakes are cheap to replace relative to the clutch in your transmission. You’re looking at $600-$800 for all four corners even if you have the full Brembo Kit. The clutch is going to run you $2400-$4000.

Definitely not a good idea to burn your clutch to slow down the car.

No I totally agree, I just meant if you have the revs slightly too low you feel it slowing harder. Always use the brakes !
