Rev Matching. Yes or no?

Double clutching isn’t necessary, but heel and toeing is a PITA. I drove stick since 1970, and all this discussion is pure opinion. I rev match, double clutch, power shift, and once in a blue moon shift without clutching. I’m just happy to drive.

It is a PITA in the Mustang because of the pedal arrangement (at least in RHD models) and slightly grabby brakes. Try it in a MX5 Miata; it's an utter joy.
Possibly the best car I've had for heel and toe was a Jaguar X Type, oddly.

Interesting. Optional Brembo's are grabby, and these prevent smooth stopping technique. I just don't see any need for heel and toe unless racing, but driving habits are up to the individual. The only racing I did was stop light to stop light, and I didn't need fancy footwork to stop-unless that was a panic stop.

I had it turned off...I would do it manually. Whats the point of having the computer doing it for you when you can do it yourself. Thats the engagement part of the manual.

My first vehicle was a 4spd Datsun B-210. Then I went in a we had Jeeps! So yeah, 'grind it to you find it' was how I learned.

I use it. Yes, I know how to do it myself, but why? Also, it sounds glorious. With my new setup, it will be even more so!

Lastly, being new to tracking, I have enough to worry about. Rev matching is just one less thing on my list.

Personally I'm immature and only use it to rev through all the gears when rolling to a stop if I feel like drawing attention.
