Walmart SuperTech Full Synthetic/High Mileage have been found to be value kings. If you can get Costco Kirkland on-sale, it can be even cheaper (recently on-sale @ $35 for 12 quarts).

Personally I skip the plastic fasteners, the bellypan doesn't need em to stay secure. Simplifies the process/parts a little bit.

Got it all done. The undercover was a pain but not too bad. Ended up going with Pennzoil ultra platinum, $70 total for oil change compared to dealers $217, no ticking so far, the race ramps were awesome.

that's a lot of money for something you can't even use to change a tire

It’s usd lol, wanted to make sure I didn’t rub when I added stuff, I got a 15% discount though so it was more like 550. Could of probably got by with rhino ramps but decided on these.

Also manual called for 9.5 quarts, I’m in between the 2 dots, is it worth to top it off or does it not really matter. Probably a dumb question , but I know the 2024 said 10 quarts.

Probably wouldn't matter. I added 10qts shows perfect on the stick. Car came 1qt low from factory. I have the cooler just figured engines are filled as if you didn't have one. Who knows?

I've done my own oil changes for about 60 years. I could do it now but crawling under the car, (at 75) usually getting oil on my garage floor, disposing of the oil etc isn't worth it to me. I have a good Ford dealer who will do it for about $30 labor plus the oil and filter. It's a Quick Lane shop, no reservations needed, first come first served. They use experienced Ford techs, guys in their 40s to do the work and you can watch them thru a window in the customer lounge. A local independent, ASE and well known shop does the oil change for $20 labor and you can bring your own oil and filter or they will order it for you. My first oil change on my new F-150 at the dealer (Quick Lane) went well, $108 total for full synthetic Motorcraft and filter. In and out in 30 minutes. I still enjoy changing the oil myself on my motorcycle, boat, tractor and lawn equipment. For newbies info: I hand tighten the oil filter until it contacts the base, then 1/2-3/4 turn more. Don't overtighten the drain plug. Just good and snug or use a torque wrench to the correct spec found in your manual or online.

I have a random question for the thread. I went to get an oil change before I put the car away for the winter in November 2024, and I went back today as the car sat for six or seven months in storage. They used in November 2024 the SKU "B113" for the oil that cost $17/litre. Today, they used the SKU "Bulkb" for the oil at $8/litre. I was confused when I got the bill and it cost roughly $112 less than my prior oil change. I'm guessing they put the synthetic blend in versus the full synthetic oil? I imagine it's okay that they did this? I just figured it'd be full synthetic with it being a Mustang GT

@burnhard88 ..... yes, the semi synthetic will be fine if you are not running it real hard. Just make sure that if the "B" stands for BULK - find out which "bulk" oil they used. Was it Ford 5W-30 or something else? Did you get the oil change at one of Ottawa's Ford dealers? Next time just specify FULL synthetic, I do every time to make sure.

BulkB was the Bin from today stating Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 CXO 5W30 BSP. Versus the Bin B113 Motorcraft SAE 5W-30 CXO 5W30 LFS6 that I had in November 2024. I drive it spirited on occasion. But I would enjoy that piece of mind you know. I figured it'd be full synthetic already. So I'll have to speak with my service advisor Monday and see what we can do
