I also came up with my own (I think) neat and most convenient available fix for this problem. Apart from removing a screw on the underside of the vehicle, the installation literally takes 10 seconds.
I recorded a short video showing the full installation process.
If you're interested you can hit me up as well!

I received mine and it worked perfectly. Great seller. Thanks again!

his email to order is [email protected]
Yeah just emailed him I hope he gets back to me soon I want to pay for these asap I will probably put tape in the meantime. I’m 13,000 miles in with my 2024 and I never once looked at these holes. I’m at work and will be checking immediately when I get home. What a huge bummer.

Got with frank and purchased his solution. I am sadly a year too late this issue should be highlighted for all to see. I can’t make out if this is rust or lots of dirt and what steps I need to do to fix this correctly. Thanks for your feedback. What a letdown to start the new year.

Warranty repair? FOMOCO need to understand that having these silly oversights cost them money. Only then will they improve, hopefully, or go belly up!

Does the 2026 model have this problem?
Rumor is no, they do not. It also seems the inner wheel well liner has been updated but i have not / do not recall hearing if the new part number is backwards compatible.

The paint has chipped off and there is a small amount of surface rust. Treat with a rust converter such as Kurust and then underseal over the top. Fit a patch if you want to but it isn't essential once the underseal protection is in place as it will no longer chip off.

Hammerite Kurust - Paint | Hammerite

I was ridiculed on here by some people last year when I said I had treated my car in this way but 12 months later it is still completely fine with no rust or chipping on that metal, and my car is a daily driver that gets salt and spray all over it.

Also note that there are plenty of other bits of exposed metal under the car - all UK cars get underseal applied before sale, I don't think US cars do.

No rumor. Fact with proven pictures is that they have fixed it since april 2025.

By chance do you have the part numbers and posts indicating the new parts work on the ‘24/‘25 that included the factory slots? It would make for a handy tie in to the thread.

Tell me about it. Just had the car lowered and brand new wheels and tires put on. Spending all this money then I see this.
