I wouldn't mind sanding it down myself and clear-coating the hell out of it.If you are going to remove it, then you are going to have to seal that part back up.
I would cut it with a razor blade, sand it down with some 600-1000 grit and reapply a coat base(if you removed the color) and then a coat of 2K clear to make sure the paint is sealed off to the elements.
If you are worried, have a professional knock it down and touch it up.
But...
This is a new car, I'm a bit worried about doing it wrong and then having to pay a shop to fix it 2 years from now because it's peeling.
If the dealer fixes it, it'll be on them if they didn't do it right.
