Has anyone who already has their s650 checked the paint issue themselves? Hopefully it's just a one-off.

I watched this video just before I got my car. I asked the dealer not to detail my car. It was a fu*#@ng mess. I detailed it myself and checked every inch. All panels fit as well as expected and actually a little bit better. I've had a 2015, 2018 and a 2020 so the Mustang is not new to me.

The paint, after 6 hours of detailing, was flawless. No chips or dirt. Very, very little orange peel and a nice, even gloss. I have no idea what happened to the car this guy has in the video.

Chips on the edges of all 4 corners? Something isn't right.

My production date was middle of June. Sat in the lot 2 months as a "bird target"

I found the same kind of crap inside the rear fender. It's like a mass of goop settled there.
I didn't catch it during delivery but i'll take it back and see what they say.
I was tempted to cut it off but i'm worried it will make the paint flake off over time.
Maybe cut it sharply and then clear coat the hell out of the "cut" ?

Yeah, if the panel was plastic i could see it being some kind of "bur" that didn't get cleaned, butit's not plastic.
Hopefully it's not a big deal to safely remove.

Got the same, its in both my rear wheel wells. Although it's only one "clump" for each well. Missed it at pick-up and didn't want to remove since it it seems like it would create bigger issues over time.

My appointment with the dealership isn't until 10/20 but if you get a response from your dealer sooner on how they'll handle please let us know.

All my panels are good but the paint needs correction everywhere. Orange peel galore... They did a good job on the hood though. Any detailer appointments are 2 months out here so November 1st it's headed there, then into storage.

Panel adhesive where the outer skin is glued to the wheel house. Leave it alone.

I am tempted to leave it alone, but it kinda shows and it looks nasty...
But if that's the safer option i will.

If you are going to remove it, then you are going to have to seal that part back up.
I would cut it with a razor blade, sand it down with some 600-1000 grit and reapply a coat base(if you removed the color) and then a coat of 2K clear to make sure the paint is sealed off to the elements.

If you are worried, have a professional knock it down and touch it up.
