Is that the mystic red? If so, I have the same color and I thought I would never own another red car until this one . The convertible is an added bonus but too damn hot to use for now ..lol.

So let me ask you this. If you had to get rid of one car which car would you get rid of Dh or c8? Thanks!
That’s a tough decision! While I don’t own a DH, I do own a GT. To me it comes down to the choice between the handling characteristics of a mid-engine layout versus front engine/rear wheel drive. Which one do you prefer? I guess I’m greedy…I do appreciate and enjoy both.

I really don’t see how you can compare the 2 cars honestly.
I use my toy for golf, mountain biking, dog in the back cruises . Vette isn’t an option.
I’d rather keep the DH and by a Ducati for fun with no practicality. It would be same $.
Weight is the key factor and yes the Vette is way faster.
Also I want manual!

Sounds like a good plan to me. It’s great we live in an era where we have a lot of options for scratching our go fast itches. I just don’t get the people who denigrate other’s choices just because it doesn’t appeal to them. Life is to short to drive boring cars. My motto is pick one, buy it and go have fun!

Hard side suitcases are not well suited for the C8’s frunk & trunk. But if you’re using luggage similar to a duffle bag style you can fit quite a bit in one. Just make sure you put the lady’s makeup bag in the frunk due to the engine heat transfer to the trunk. A two week trip to anywhere with my wife would require us driving her BMW X5.
You are exactly right. My IPad and various other things went in the frunk because of heat in the trunk.
if you look under the folding chairs in the trunk you will find 3 soft luggage bags with just clothes.

Man that’s a good one. My wife absolutely loves this C8. I’m somewhat indifferent but I love my transparent top with the ability to take it out.
For the drag strip the DH just because I have been racing Mustangs since the very early 90s (Old Fun Ford Weekend and early NMRA).
When my wife, son and I go out the DH works even though we have an Edge, F150, and I bought my son a little Mercedes as he is going to be driving soon.
Cant say for sure which one goes first.

Not sure why I said mystic red. To me it has to be the most beautiful color and I believe that was one of the contributing factors I purchased it. When it's wet it even looks better to me.
My wife is the same way she absolutely loves it. But I think she understands me at the same time because I've had a few special mustangs in my time too. I think you have the best of both worlds cuz I would love to keep my Corvette too. I really hate I sold my 19 grand sport.

I will let you think about the question and see if you can still answer it.

@Cruisesader302 ..... AWESOME. AWESOME post! Loved it!!!!! I will print your cool pics for my Mustang and Corvette buddies, we'll look at your pics and laugh at them over a few beers. No doubt those pics will be pinned to a few garage bulletin boards --- certainly in Corvette garages! My best friend has an '82 vette. As I am sure you know it has beautiful lines. Unfortunately, the original Corvette "crossfire" engine was problematic - to say the least - driven to a great degree by EPA insanity of that era that limiting it to, I think, an original 200 HP +/-. Of course, we all teased him with won't fire, catch fire etc. comments which he took good naturedly. A few years ago he took it in and using the original block had it stroked .... then it ran like a 'vette. I have absolutely NOTHING against the C8. It is IMO absolutely the most "exotic" car on the market for the money. It punches waaay above its price tag and rivals cars double its price. Period. That said, as my Corvette buddies know, Mustang guys were born to torment Corvette guys. One thing most of my Corvette buddies do agree with is that the sound of a Mustang GT is pretty hard to beat. So, when I have some fun with Corvette comments it is just because as a Mustang guy I HAVE to. Other than that, respect!

I didn’t take it personally. I figured you were having some fun…so I joined in. I’ll admit I’m partial to a Vette as it was the first car that infatuated me as a young man. I’m a 60’s child who grew up in a neighborhood where the teenage boys drove the classic hot cars of that era and I think it shaped my becoming an auto enthusiast who appreciates many different automobiles. If I had a ton of cash I’d have a warehouse full of classic and modern performance cars both domestic and foreign. In this thread is a guy asking whether or not to keep a C8 over a DH. That’s like asking me to pick which one of my kids to keep.
