For people not local to Detroit, using kids for crime is sadly normal.

look up young boys incorporated, back in the 80s they would use pre teens to sell all kinds of drugs. Makes perfect sense that it would lead to stealing cars etc.

YBI was huge then.

Now thugs steal right from the plant. Sterling Heights Assembly was getting ripped for Rams. Mainly the TRX. They are apparently extremely easy to steal. My best friends Ram Sport almost got taken from a place of employment in Shelby Twp. Something to do with the headlight and starting them.
