UPDATE

Dealership couldn't find a problem. Maybe I'm over thinking it but I definitely feel a slight difference

It’s in the tune, under certain WOT conditions in higher rpm GT’s will close 1 throttle body
Lidio at alternative did testing on this, part of high rpm TQ management between shifts etc…

super duper normal, hopefully the new ford racing tune lifts some of these restrictions

Does the Dark Horse do this?

Even on long straights on the track shifting up through numerous gears at high rpm I did not notice this issue.

You sure it's not just breaking the tires loose? My hayabusa and zx1400 will effortlessly bust the tire loose at 8-9k rpm in the lower 3 gears. RPM will climb but you aren't accelerating.

That's pretty fast for wheelspin on a bike, fun isn't it?

Person/shop… one of the original aftermarket mustang tuners who goes back to the early 90s, he’s basically a legend in the mustang world. A lot of articles in MM&FF and old 5.0 magazine etc.

just a well trusted shop/source.

Hi All,
I'm experiencing the same issue with the power loss. Did not happen on my car when new or after breakin but notable this year. Seems like the throttle is reduced to 50% at 6,000 rpm. I've owned and driven plenty of performance cars including exotics and the current sensation is odd / not previously experienced.
I've tried some troubleshooting to better determine what's going on.
I've eliminated fuel as I consistently use 93 or E30 blend and the sensation is the same with both.
Same sensation occurs traction control on or off.
I was debating high-speed wheel spin but it happens in multiple gears at the exact same rpm... Nonetheless I dropped tire pressures in the rear to allow it to hook better. There is no sensation of wheel spin that is notable.
Seat of the pants feel suggests car is partially closing throttle body. Timing would not have as dramatic of a difference as I'm experiencing.
This lends credence to the theory above that it's something in the base tune.
Have any of the tuners had luck with modifying the software so that second throttle body doesn't close under certain conditions?
Does anybody know what those conditions are?
Cheers,
24 Vert

My problem was just fixed. I got a check engine light code (I a what it was, I’ll post again when I find it) but it was for a cam issue, they fixed it and the problem went away

It's easy to tell if it's wheel spinning or even clutch slipping, The rpm increases, speed doesn't in proportion.
