Just went and took some pics of the drain pan what left after I drained the oil back into the containers and also a pic of the filter cut open.

It Absolutely will. Blackstones tests are pretty comprehensive.
I understand Blackstones is the top of their game. I understand they tell you all sorts of things. I just wonder how is the information to the average driver? If it does show you have problems do they give you ideas to solve the problem? I have seen on this sight that Ford does not really do anything if you show them. I realize a good report is great just wonder how much they can help if you get a bad report.

It just seems weird that none of that was caught in the filter. There is a thread on the 6g forum from awhile ago on a gt 350 that had quite a bit more and I think it turned out to be some kind of additive that was added that gets suspended in the oil.Hopefully that is the case here but probably not my luck lol.Going to send a sample from what I changed from the previous owner and then when I get the results back send in another one with the oil I just put in with some miles on it.

Thanks everyone for the replies.I have blackstone sending me a kit.Since I have already changed the oil how many miles should I put on the new oil before I send it in?Blacktone says to take the sample roughly about half way thru the drain and not to start the car before I take the sample. Also I cut open the oil filter and do not see anything in it at all.
It's good that you didn't find anything in the filter. Interested to hear the outcome of the oil analysis! Glenn

Can you get any of the flakes in the oil to stick to a magnet?

I used a magnet and none of the particles you see will stick to it there was just a couple of small pieces that did but that was it.

Okay, it's not steel or iron then. But aluminum, copper, etc are bearing materials and won't stick. I'd keep driving it for a bit and see what it looks like in a few hundred miles.

Can you get a small screen or cloth and try to get the glitter out of the oil and maybe rinse the oil away with degreaser and try to see what color it is?

@Area51 - Run your VIN number to see any past recalls. Look to see if there was a TSB or recall associated with a Ford Performance/Whipple supercharger. Maybe the previous owner had it removed to transfer to another S-650 or sell. Maybe the previous owner had it removed and put back to stock for an easier sell. Also see if there is a way to enter the VIN number on the Whipple website.

This could explain why the oil change was done at a performance shop. Maybe not likely but still possible.

From the moment I pick-up the new vehicles I buy (now 4 Mustangs) I keep the revs low (not lugging - just not bouncing off the rev limiter) and vary the revs and mph for the first 500 miles. I'm still very respectful for the next 500 miles then I change the oil (FULL synthetic) and filter. After that I don't mind getting on it once in a while. I have never had a vehicle burn oil or ever had an engine problem related to wear. IMO how an engine is treated for at least the first 500 kiles is critical...... and there should not be a lot of visible "metallics" in your oil unless something has been addeed or is wrong.
AMEN. Breaking in the entire drive train Is always a great idea. Trans, rear end, brakes etc. all need to be run in gently. These old dinosaurs that state drive it like you stole it are sadly mistaken. Former Service Manager here...
