Just did oil change was wondering if any amount of glitter is good in oil change?

Different amounts for different setups but that amount of oil in the catch can for that mileage isn't uncommon.

Just went and took some pics of the drain pan what left after I drained the oil back into the containers and also a pic of the filter cut open.

It Absolutely will. Blackstones tests are pretty comprehensive.

I understand Blackstones is the top of their game. I understand they tell you all sorts of things. I just wonder how is the information to the average driver? If it does show you have problems do they give you ideas to solve the problem? I have seen on this sight that Ford does not really do anything if you show them. I realize a good report is great just wonder how much they can help if you get a bad report.

It just seems weird that none of that was caught in the filter.There is a thread on the 6g forum from awhile ago on a gt 350 that had quite a bit more and I think it turned out to be some kind of additive that was added that gets suspended in the oil.Hopefully that is the case here but probably not my luck lol.Going to send a sample from what I changed from the previous owner and then when I get the results back send in another one with the oil I just put in with some miles on it.

Filter looks great for that milage. I think it's fine just normal wear.

Thanks everyone for the replies.I have blackstone sending me a kit.Since I have already changed the oil how many miles should I put on the new oil before I send it in?Blacktone says to take the sample roughly about half way thru the drain and not to start the car before I take the sample.Also I cut open the oil filter and do not see anything in it at all.

It's good that you didn't find anything in the filter. Interested to hear the outcome of the oil analysis! Glenn
