I installed the Steeda full length jacking rails on my car today, and was very impressed with the quality and fit. They are heavy and sturdy pieces, and I'm wondering if they aerve any additional purpose by stiffening the chassis? They look a lot like bolt on subframe connectors.
Any ideas?

I agree with you, but don’t have data to support it!

I doubt it. They are along the likely strongest part of the frame. Steeda might have looked into this more.

I've only had my car on a lift once, and when I installed the rails, I could see the pinch weld was scarred in several places. I touched it up, and think the rails will be useful.
