What is a particular use of the radar?
New here so asking, why not just drive safe within reasonable speeds and likely not put others at risk?

I’m gonna assume you’re trolling. But let’s say you’re driving down a Texas highway going 90 with nobody around. Ol state trooper wants to park his shiny Chevy on the side of the road. I’m not getting a ticket for something that isn’t unsafe.
Also, why did you buy a 480 HP car if all you wanna do is go the speed limit. I’ve seen Nissan Altimas with no brake lights that put people at more risk than me going 15 over in a 50.

There is a popular myth here, and it is easy to see. When it comes to risks, doing 65 instead of 50 nearly doubles the stoping distance. So what if the Altima is the one vehicle you don't see in time?

I'm not trolling, genuinely curious, because radar or not, speeding is dangerous, I own cars that have more than 500hp. You buy a 480 HP car to responsibly race at the track. Or pull 0-30/45 at lights, super quick lane changes, free way merges etc.

Just because someone crazy in an Altima is breaking the law doesn't justify for us to do so.

On the record I don’t speed and never have.
That said I have also never gotten a speeding ticket and have never been in an accident. Glad so many people have found this thread useful as well!

Thanks. I can't get it straight due to the way i need the mirror set for me. If i was shorter it wouldnt be a problem. it should work ok but i wish it was straight down the hood centerline. Ill try to get it straighter tomorrow but i have my doubts. That said the Blend Mount is the way to go 100%
I'm 6' 2" and mine is straight.

Did you remove the middle link?

I use the Uniden R8 in my DH (Blendmount and wire tap) as well as the F150. I've been using that clunky coil cord in the truck because I've been lazy, but I recently got sick enough of it to add a wire tap to the rearview mirror in the truck. Mucho better!
Same!

Interesting. I’m also really tall and don’t have that problem. Have you tried loosening the blendmount on the stalk and sliding it “away” from the rear housing? Maybe post a pic and we can compare
Here is a couple pictures. The mirror is hitting the cover. It just bugs me I can't seem to get it straight. I do think it will still do it's job.
Thanks all

Ah ya, that's just poopoo design. Idk how they interfere with each other. I have same problems same as anyone else. Only thing you can try is pulling down hard on the mirror and stalk then readjusting it up into position.
