Hmmm... so what IS the major diff between the S550 and S650?

A friend of a friend (yeah, I know I know)......claims to have seen the S650 headlamp. They want to keep their job though, so he didn't dare take a photo......and wouldn't even describe it.

Funny, because I recall seeing the S550 (facelift) headlamp "leaked" on a random Mustang FB page a few years back.

I've also not just seen the headlamps but the whole car, facelift included. But I can't tell anyone how it looked like because of reasons

I know of the people you're referencing, and I know South Park was made by two people who left the church/religion associated with those two names, but I still don't get the joke.

On topic, if I read correctly on another thread here, S650 prototypes won't even surface until next year at the earliest maybe? And from there, it likely won't be on sale until 2023/2024/2025-ish?

We have no idea when these cars will show up. All we're going off of now is spy shots of cars in camo (test mules?), a sculpture at a Chinese auto show (seriously...), and a NASCAR...um..."car". This sounds like the plot of a F&F/National Treasure crossover movie

So is the S650 going to be a totally electrified platform like the SEMA “Lithium” or hybrid fuel/electro?

Must be something really specific and quite unique to the S650 (aside from physical appearances) if an entirely new forum was created .. hint hint...

The S650 GT/Ecoboost transmissions are the same (10r80 for both and GT only MT82-D4) however the 5.0 V8 AND the 2.3L Ecoboost are both new generations of their respective engines.


4th Gen Coyote changes:
Dual Intake/air boxes/throttle body

New exhaust header and 4:1 exhaust manifold

Forged connecting rods

Steel oil pan

New cylinder heads

different camshafts

New UFO cover

Changes to cooling system

The only real difference between the S550 Mach 1 and S650 Dark Horse as far as I could tell from a testdrive was the cars and experience were pretty much the same except for the Touchscreens and sticker shock…IMHO

Holy crap I actually agree with Karguy on something. Outside of the screens I couldn’t tell a difference.

That’s not. a negative. The S550 is a great car.
