I don't know about this thread. On surface streets I normally upshift at 2,000 RPMs. The exception is when I need speed like on a freeway ramp. I have streets that are 45 miles per hour and I run 6th gear as they are flat and level. 6th gear isn't much for acceleration but works well for cruising.

Two overdrive gears in a sports car is such a waste, they really neutered the manual car in 2018 with this change. Thanks EPA

I just went from a 2020 GT PP1, to a 2013 Boss 302. I have to say I definitely prefer the tighter gearing on the Boss. You can really feel the the difference and it definitely feels quicker. I would have to drop the rear end on my 20202 to at least a 4.09 or maybe even down to a 4.30 to get close to the same feel of the Boss
