I got the same POS you did. Upon delivery no issues. 800 miles later and chips are starting to pop.
I don't have a POS. Focus.

Only have my GT for 2 and half days... regretted that I didn't buy one 10 years ago
That is how I felt with my first Mustang GT , 1983 Mustang GT in Dark Red. It was a fun ride and still is. V8 with a 4 speed still using a carb! When I am back in Arizona, I drive that car around. While it it is not up to current performance, it has many wonderful memories. And it is still fun to drive!

Wright, sells, our, I try not to nitpick, but damn.
at the risk of throwing stones from my glass house, i agree

GR Prius, where you at?! I need my 55mpg doing 0-60 in under 5 seconds! 🤣
is it bad that i dont actually hate that idea? a performance hybrid hatchback with the styling of the current Prius sounds like it would be pretty neat

My DH paint is great! Sorry you got a POS.

Next time, do some due diligence before taking delivery.
same here, my paint has been great

you might want to take that to your dealer and see if you can get the repairs for that covered under warranty

you know when the last "lowest sales year" was? 2022, before that it was 2021, before that it was 2020. the Mustangs been slipping in sales ever since 2015 with the ONLY exception being the S650s introduction in 2023. since 2000 the Mustang has only sold over 100k cars in 10 years, of which only two of those years were within the last decade.

speaking on the prices i agree, 2025 prices are too fucking high, just get a (S197 or S550)GT500. youll get way more fun out of that for way less (in the case of the S197) or about on par (for the S550) with an M4 or RS5
Is that why I see fewer and fewer Mustangs on the road? It seems like you used to be able to throw a rock and hit a Mustang without even trying... figuratively speaking, of course. In my city, when I bought my Mustang, the only other newer ones that I would see were base model S550s, one or two GTs, and I haven't seen a Bullit or Mach 1 in the wild at all. There were more older model, mid to late 2000's on the road, but most of those are in various states of repair and really show their mileage. In the past month, I've seen two other S650s. One was a GT, and the other was an Ecoboost convertible.

Same. I've always wanted a Mustang, ever since I saw Iron Eagle as a kid. Doug Masters driving around in that red Mustang convertible, flying airplanes, etc. I finally managed to pull it off at 48 years old.

To start, I had three kids and was working poor. Once I got to the point of being able to possibly afford a Mustang, I was in the Army and had gear that I needed to haul around, and a new wife that didn't know how to drive. I went through a succession of cars and SUVs that were family and cargo friendly. Taught my wife how to drive, the family car became "her" car, and I got my motorcycle.

This past year saw my youngest graduate from college, my retirement from the Army, and my daily driver developing more mechanical issues, to the point that I was spending every other weekend fixing something.

No more Army gear to haul around, kids are out on their own, no plans to move every 3 to 5 years again... I could afford it and it was time. My mantra was: "If you're going to buy a Mustang, might as well buy a GT. If you're going to buy a GT, might as well get the Premium. If you're going to get the Premium, might as well get the 401a package... oh, and make it a manual, as well!"

Same story over and over here... Non s650 owners whining while s650 owners are wanting to learn about their cars lol
Not true. I own an s650 and it's the worst built car I've ever owned both with software glitches and problems with the mechanical components along with horrible service from local dealers and not just one, three of them. See my other threads for details. Car's been out of my possession often enough and long enough to qualify for lemon law but it's just not worth the headache at this point. It's not my first Ford but it's definitely my last one.

what years were the other cars. As time goes on, the water based paints seem to get thinner and thinner.

lol. Trust me I don’t. These cars just seem to have a thin layer of paint. At least compared to other cars I’ve owned.
I assure you that Honda's paint isn't up to snuff anymore either. My sister and brother in-law bought a 24 Honda pilot and a 24 Honda Civic. Both of them were in the paint shop in less than a month of ownership because the paint was literally peeling off the roofline from the windshield. Both of their cars were black, so I don't know if that had anything to do with the issue, but it was an issue none the less. Paint job on my Dark horse is stellar. 🤷‍♂️
