I paid it outright and I find it overpriced.
Paying it outright doesn't tell you anything about what people think about the price.

Can't say that I've ever really thought about the correlation between age and financing v.s. paying outright for a vehicle, but the results are certainly interesting to see for 2024+ Mustangs specifically (as opposed to something more "typical" like a Honda Civic).

As someone who still has another decade to go before hitting 40, the age range starting at "under 40" also gave me a good chuckle.

No, but overpaying for something the buyer thinks is overpriced tells you a lot about the buyer!

No need to be able to pay for it 2 or 3 times. Just have the $ it would take to pay the loan off immediately set aside to be able to pay it off in case something unexpected happens - ideally earning more interest than what the loan is costing you.

I hate financing. I pay off our credit cards several times per month. I also earn hundreds to thousands of dollars per year in cash rewards, just for using certain cards.

When I was young, can't say younger anymore, I always paid off all our cards immediately and used our debit card extensively. Since the card companies started with better perks, we charge almost everything. Now we hardly ever use the debit card, and check writing is at a minimum. Instead of writing 20-30 checks a month, we write one or two to credit card companies. We use the perks to purchase items we would otherwise be spending our money on. Glenn

If you think the age range under forty gives you a chuckle, wait until your age range ends with 65+. It's like holy shite I ran out of brackets! As one of my t-shirts says, "It's weird being the same age as old people" Glenn

50-60 financed about half of it, cash/trade for the other half.

At 1.9% for three years it's like free money. No harm either way. I should have it paid off in about six months from now anyway.

I just turned 28 a month ago, so I'm a Gen Z. When Ford did the press reveal of the S650 in 2022, I knew I wanted one and I started aggressively saving. In January of 2024, I figured I had saved enough of a down payment and I ordered from Ford. I forfeited the Performance Pack so I could keep the price within my budget. In June 2024 I used X-Plan and put down $38K and took on a $12K loan at 1.9%. I've since been making extra payments on the loan and plan to have it fully paid off by this upcoming July. I would go ahead and pay it off, but i have a high yield savings account that is offering 4%, so it makes sense to keep my money there for the time being.

That is a very nice '57 Bel Air. My dad had one when I was a kid, he just sold it a few years ago to make room for a 2022 ecoboost convertible Mustang. I have fond memories of the Bel Air.

Always use CC over debit card. Far better protection if a card (number) is compromised.
