Ford Financing?

Picked my GT up last Monday and wanted to try ford credit just so it would be easier to pay (had it with my 16 EcoBoost). They wanted to do 6.9 or 7 percent. They ended up finding a bank that would give me a slightly better apr at 6.6% same amount of months (72 months)

I got 2.99% through ford credit, 36 months. They have/had a promo for it, adding 1% every increase in the length of the loan (3.99 for 48, 4.99 60). They showed me if it wasn’t for the promo the rate would be 9% with my 850 score

I think my credit score was 777. Had been stagnant for about a year since I don’t have many accounts open under my name

That makes no sense to me. You give them the VIN and the purchase agreement, that's all the info that they can need/want.

I had no issue getting rates from 3 banks and 4 credit unions. 850+ credit score, got 5% for 60 months. But I honestly plan to pay it all off once I get a bit more stability in the stock market and feel better about liquidating more cash.

That’s what we thought. I don’t know if it was because of the time since it was after 7:30 at night or what. We couldn’t even get a quote from our insurance agent on how much the insurance was going to cost because we she needed a vin since the model is so new. The finance guy did his thing and that’s the best we could get. Like you we are going to pay it off soon or refinance if things get better soon. Could have paid cash for it but we need the money for some home improvements. Dealing with the young salesman was fun as he tried all the tactics but he was learning.

god... 8% just sounds horrible to me. My last car (21 challenger r/t) i got at 3%

This is why I'm keeping my '21 F150 Platinum. 1.89% APR @ 72 months ...

Over 50% paid off - using damn near free money!
